MBC - Amy vs Silver - Round 3

Silver had taken the advantage twice now, and Amy was wondering just how much she could keep up. He pulled off some rookie moves in the last round, but she just couldn't get a bead on him. Her head still ached from the vicious straight he had landed on her...she could take hits like that, but she'd be damned if they didn't still smart.

Silver, on the other hand, was growing a bit more confident. He didn't want to count all his chickens before they hatched...but he began thinking he could pull this one off. He began looking at all the audience members, hoping to see one of them cheering for him...and then he saw Blaze sitting in the stands.

Looking rather cross, one might add.

He was starting to realize the lesson Amy was talking about giving him...he just didn't realize it wouldn't be from just her. He looked back towards his opponent and tried to push the thought out of his head as the bell rang.

He HAD to win now.

---

The new round had started, and both fighters were off to an offensive start. The two exchanged blows, each one getting blocked or parried by its target. A look of frustration began growing on Amy's face, while Silver's confidence continued growing...even if there was a sense of dread hanging over him. A left jab from Amy tied a nice bow on the exchange however, rocking Silver's head and dazing him. Soon, a minute had passed, the round nearing its halfway point.

Silver threw a left upper towards Amy's stomach, which she swiftly dodged, although she looked a bit surprised. His aim was a bit off, and she was unsure if it would've even hit anything had she just remained still. But she wasn't going to complain about not getting hit.

She fought back with a right hook towards his head. The blow collided squarely with its target, rolling up Silver's cheek. His eyes rolled up for a moment as his head turned, sending a string of saliva onto the canvas. He stumbled back a step, and his eyes rolled around a bit before he found his bearing again. In that time, a left jab was careening towards his chest. It landed with a small thud, showing just how much impact it had. But it wasn't supposed to be a punch as much as it was a statement. Just because he had taken the lead when it came to punches didn't mean he was automatically going to win.

Good, just like the last round... Amy thought to herself. I have to keep pressuring him now. If I don't, he's just gonna keep coming back!

Amy threw another left jab, this time towards Silver's rather unguarded face, and his head jerked back and forth like a speedbag. He wanted a moment to recover...but this was an actual match. No one was gonna save him except for himself. Amy threw a right straight towards his chest once more, and Silver finally went on the defensive, blocking the blow.

I gotta tag her and get the edge back, Silver thought to himself. If Blaze gets her hands on me, anything Amy does to me will just be a trifle in comparison...

Silver's head wasn't exactly in the right space for the occasion, but that didn't matter much; a left straight aimed for Amy's stomach slammed into its target, causing Amy's cheeks to puff up.

"Gwugh!" She groaned, sending out a small trail of saliva. She countered with a left straight to his head, hoping to punish him for trying to beat her at her own game, but it only collided with her opponent's arms. She followed up with a left jab to Silver's head. It jabbed him in the nose, but with little to no effect. She huffed and continued her assault with a left hook to his chest, the blow meeting nothing but air as he swung his upper body back. Silver finally retaliated, although it was more out of desperation to get out of his current predicament. He sent a left jab towards her stomach, and that too was only met with air, as Amy swung to the side.

"Rgh--!" Silver growled a bit. Now he was growing a bit frustrated. Amy was upping the ante now, even if all she was doing was dodging and blocking as she saw fit. The confidence began draining from his face, and instead, turned to determination.

A left jab now found its way speeding towards Amy's abdomen, instead hitting nothing but Amy's guard with a weak and dull thud.

Amy now took the offensive. If Silver wasn't going to be serious, she was going to end this right now. She threw a right upper towards Silver's chest, and had he been a second sooner, it would've collided, instead of whizzing past him. She followed up with a right straight to his stomach, and once again, it missed its mark as he moved to dodge it. He began feeling confident in himself once more...if she couldn't hit him at all this round, all he'd need to do was wait until she left herself open...then he'd--!

A gloved fist collided with Silver's cheek, turning his head and making his eyes roll up once again. A string of saliva was drawn from his lips, ejecting itself onto the canvas as he fell to the canvas, landing on his side.

"1!"

Amy walked to her corner, and she let out a sigh.

"Finally...I didn't think he was gonna let me knock him down for the entire match," She said to herself as she seated herself back in her corner.

"2!"

Silver let out a low groan as he came to. It was only for a moment, but he had been sent to dreamland. He had realized that he had been laid out, but he was confused as to why the ref was starting his count at 2. He began picking himself up--his vision was blurry, but he could manage...for now.

"3!"

"4!"

"5!"

Silver was finally on his feet. The count stopped, and after a short check, the bell rang once more, and the two met at the center once again, circling each other, although Silver was much slower.

"D...did I deserve that?" He asked as the two began exchanging blows once more.

"Yeah...you kinda did," Amy smirked.
