Casual Desires (Nov 26, 2024)

This is extremely good news for the future of the game, since it means it will be able to return to a regular release schedule after Chapter 20. There's a lot of work that needs to be done before I can consider the game ready for Steam.
My plans for CD are roughly as follows:
Chapter 20 release. While I still can't give an exact date, I can promise that it will be out before the end of the year at the very latest.
New chapters return to a release pace of every 2-3 months. Each new chapter will also bring a bunch of improvements and additions to older content, in preparation for the Steam launch.
CD releases into Steam Early Access around Summer 2025 (Jun - Sep).
After about a year in Early Access (potentially a few months longer), the game sees its full 1.0 release and is completed.
If the Steam release is popular enough, I may update it with extra content (v1.1 and v1.2) before moving on to the next project.
Overall, I expect Casual Desires will take roughly 2 more years until it's completed.
Thank you to everyone, both new and old players alike, for being patient throughout these past months. It's been a long wait, but the future for Casual Desires is looking bright. I'll do my best to make Act 3โand all the earlier contentโ as good as it can possibly be.

Thanks for the feedback! This is just a rough timeline, and CD will conclude only when it's reached a point I think is satisfying for players. Though there might only be 2-ish years of development left for CD, the pace of new content will be increasing, so there's lots to come yet in this time period. I'll also be adding new features as well as redesigning earlier content, so multiple playthroughs should feel worthwhile.

I also confirm I won't be able to put this game on my wishlist, because of local restrictions, but I'm very interested in any new progress in the future. Guess my money will be put to some good use on the game I originally came here for... ๐ It's a bit disappointing, that you already think about the end of this project and only consider a "DLC" update if the game is successful, but I hope there will be at least some good content in the end or something that makes the game worth playing again a second time. Or you will have an even better successor after finishing Casual Desires which keeps the players entertained... ๐ค I hope for the best.
