In most cases I agree, but with One Piece it worked so idk. I guess we have differing opinions on the subject.

Storytelling has changed over time, and perspectives have changed over time, not to mention some shit doesn't translate well from manga/anime to live action. Actual baby Enma would be awkward and weird in live action, so the adolescent/young adult version works well here. Also I like that the truck driver wasn't just some random irresponsible dumbass, but actually had his brain taken over by a parasitic demon and went berserk. Adds a bit more spice. Also the boat instead of the broom is a nice touch. Instead of her being like a witch, she's more like Charon (the ferryman who takes souls across the River Styx) from greek mythology.
