Hello Patrons!
I have attached a gallery with 4 vertical renders of the characters who are the main focus for 0.1. Evelyn, Ava, Mrs. Perkins and Liora. I am introducing Kendra and Ms. Okumura as well since they are main characters, but the focus is on the others for now and this will likely flip for 0.2 where Kendra, Naomi and then Evelyn(again) will be the focus and 1-2 side characters thrown in there as well.
This is just an outline for 0.2 and if my mind changes by then it might not come out exactly like that but that’s just me thinking out loud. You will still see Chloe and I believe one other as well but the “focus” is more about the tease/erotic content.
A note on remakes just so I can make something a bit clear, I am not editing/remaking every single scene, it’s mainly ancient content or stuff that isn’t up to my current skills or quality. The Evelyn movie scene is mainly just remade light and outfit, the Ava scene is a remake but I remade that ages ago and it still holds up so it’s getting passed. Liora’s entire room has been reskinned/relit and don’t laugh but yes that is Mrs. Perkins appearance and MC’s college classroom remade for a third time. Mrs. Perkins stuff was some of the first I animated which was some night scenes and I am not using it anyways so I figured I might as well add on to her as the car scene you saw in the demo has all the post work and setup in after effects files so it’s as easy as swapping the outfit and adding the new images to the timeline.
One of the main things that are happening and is going to be a bit of a trend is focusing on my best/hottest concepts and mainly stuff I have customized or made unique to myself and not too much out of the box daz assets but instead using environments like Evelyn's room, The house in general, college and the big booty burgers as well as some others to build on and lengthen/get the most out these areas instead of spreading myself out over many many environments that I made but are a bit out of the box and crapped out as well as aren’t very focused and don't add to the story.
This is me thinking a bit smarter and longer term as some of the setup of the graphics can rip into dev time and ya that’s where my heads at and I hope you like the areas I am sticking with. (There are more environments too, just giving you a heads up in case a lot of the locations I made previously are nowhere to be found)
This week has been broken up between me working on the main girls scenes, getting some puzzle stuff to work I been banging my head against the wall a bit and something secret that I am unfathomably excited about which seems to be working but I won’t say anything until it’s tested in the workflow weekly because if it eats into time as bad as getting the particle effects to work and lining up the camera then I’ll wind up dropping it but I think it’ll work out!
Once I am done deciding 100% what is going in the game from my older stuff and finish chopping up the new clips in after effects I'll likely put up an animation/content counter or something to that effect, though the format has changed a bit to not have as much bloat, IE spending time on some less necessary animations so the count wont make much sense comparing it to the demo but the honest goal is to get between 1-2 hours of gameplay(depending on if you are actually reading or playing the puzzles) or in that ball park for a first release and then repeat this for subsequent release (hopefully) around every 2-3 months.
Again, there is no set and hard release date for this release or any of the following ones as I have already borked this a multitude of times but this is just me thinking out loud so take it how you will sir.
I have been more or less working non stop every single moment I am free from IRL work since the demo has released. I did hit the 2k funding goal thanks to you guys. I have had that up there for 3 years which is to leave my job and pursue this full time, which is still heavily on my mind but I want to actually get the main version out the door first before I consider anything as I don’t want to drop the 0.1 and somehow you guys don't like it. (which I don’t think is likely but that's just me over worrying.)
This post was several days past my usual 7-9 so expect to hear from me a bit sooner this time. I find myself stressing on what to work on in order based on what I can show a decent portion of without spoiling too much rather than just focusing on what I want/need during that week so from now on I am going to stick to showing 1-2 things that i worked on in roughly that weeks time i.e. 7-9 days and then once the 0.1 is complete, do something similar but go back to what I did with my old game with story previews and hardcore previews except roughly weekly instead of bi-weekly like the old days. This keeps my work structure in check with what I want to do and I can give you guys a nice taste of what I am doing at that time without spoiling too much.
