Hey you!
First of all, I hope you're doing well.
This past year, I got a few questions on my photo background and I figured I would make a post about it.
Frame
First of all, I highly encourage you to get at least one background frame. They are pretty cheap and It's easy to set it up whenever you need it and it'll make everything easier, no matter what you want your background to look like.
Fabrics
I personally decided to get lots of matching fabrics from a local fabric store to play with them depending of how I feel at the moment. I sew holes on a side of each of them to tie them to the frame with rope. In my opinion, it's important to pay attention to textures when you pick your fabrics so the light reflects differently on them.
Shine
I add shiny elements (because I like it): a discoball, chandelier crystals I got from a house I grew up in, christmas lights... It adds little sparkles to the background.
Decor
I love to add fun decor stuff that I either make or find.
For example, I make all my little gold stars from pasta boxes that I cut and spray paint, or clouds from carton boxes. I use balloons, plants, an old chair, flowers I cut in my neighborhood... Whatever inspires me at the moment :)
I have no idea if these little indications helped or inspired you but if you have any complementary question, please let me know!
Have a great rest of your day,
Talk to you soon,
Flavie.
