Ch.7 I Was Bullied So Hard I Was Isekai'ed Into A World of Sword And Magic And Emerged As The Lightning Samurai God To Hatefuck My Former Bully Until She Got Heart Eyes
Added 2024-11-21 04:08:58 +0000 UTC— Roxy Migurdia —
Today was the last day she’d be working for the Greyrat family, which means it was the last day she’d see them for a long while.
She knew she’d meet them again eventually, their family was strong and she was sure they’d always be here for her to visit in the future, even if Law and Rudeus ended up leaving to advance their skill sets one day.
Roxy giggled to herself as she got dressed for the day. Hell, knowing them they’d drag a clueless Sylphiette along and fill her mind with all types of new spells!
Yes, those three would have their names known throughout the world. Of that Roxy was certain.
“Do you wish to come, Sylphiette?” Roxy asked the girl who was standing behind her quietly.
Sylphy blushed and nodded quietly and again Roxy giggled.
“Good, we’ll be having breakfast before we head out, so get dressed.”
“Mmm!” Sylphy rushed to grab her clothes, a fresh outfit her parents bought her this morning, and quickly began to change.
Roxy opened the door and left the room, giving Sylphy her privacy. The blue-haired Saint Water Mage made her way down the stairs where she smelled delicious food being made.
“Good morning.” Roxy greeted the gathered group. Unsurprisingly only the adults were awake. Paul gave her a side-eye glance and a smile while Zenith and Lilia perked up at her presence.
“Roxy, good morning dear!” Zenith chirped and took the demon’s hands into hers when she stopped in front of the Greyrat Matriarch. “We just finished up breakfast, have a seat!”
“I will, thank you.” Roxy smiled and took her seat.
“So it’s the boys graduation day, think they're both prepared?” Paul asked with a cocky grin, and Roxy nodded almost immediately.
“Both Rudeus and Law are incredibly talented. I doubt there is a kid in this world with more raw talent than either of them.” Roxy admitted unapologetically. “Both of them will go on to be great mages, of that I’m sure, and their limits will be determined by their hard work and wills.”
“I couldn’t have said it better myself.” Zenith clapped in agreement. Her pride was clear as she puffed out her chest a bit.
“I could have.” Paul crossed his arms. “Law is going to be an even greater swordsman! Having a decent hand in magic to draw on doesn’t hurt though.”
Roxy nodded, agreeing with Paul.
While she would usually think that training in the sword with that much magical potential would be foolish, and it was in Rudeus’ case, Law is different.
Unlike Rudeus, Law shows even more potential in the blade than he does in magic. While Rudeus has even more magical potential than Law, Law makes up with his skill in the blade, or he will at least when he gets a proper swordsmanship teacher. Paul was strong, a proper Advanced ranked in each style, but to excel beyond that Law will need a stronger teacher, one that can truly guide Law to the heights Roxy believed he could reach… to the heights of the Seven Great Powers perhaps. She had no doubt that both Rudeus and Law would reach that stage, Rudeus with his magic, and Law with his swordsmanship.
If Law didn’t focus on magic at all, Roxy was certain he would at least be Advanced in all three sword styles like his father, and would be gearing up to leave home so that he could further proceed in his growth.
Law learns all three sword style techniques like they’re the most simple things in the world.
Though honestly, he’d most likely pushed himself and achieved Saint level in at least one of them if he had a teacher that could teach him the Longsword of Light.
Zenith sat down at the table as Lilia shared out the portions and the group of adults minus Lilia (who had chores to do) began to quietly enjoy their breakfast.
Eventually footsteps were heard coming down the stairs and they were greeted by the sight of Sylphy, followed by Rudeus and Law.
“Good morning!” Sylphy greeted happily, although there was a hint of shyness to her. The elf girl was just too cute at times and Roxy hoped that she never changed and remained just as innocent forever.
“Good morning to you all.” Paul grinned at the three. “Come, enjoy your breakfast. You boys have a big day.”
The two boys shared a look and walked over to the table.
Sylphy sat down beside Roxy while Rudeus and Law sat down beside one another with Rudeus sitting closer to Paul who was at the head of the table.
Both of them were whispering to one another and laughing, which was new.
“Oh, did something happen?” Zenith asked with a sly smile.
Both boys looked at her with raised brows.
“Huh, what do you mean, Mother?” Law tilted his head.
“You both are so close today, something changed, what happened?” Zenith leaned forward, her curiosity was piqued.
Roxy had to admit she was surprised by the development as well. While she wouldn’t say Law and Rudeus hated each other, they were ones to work together easily. Roxy had also admitted in the past that should the two work together as adults, whether it be as adventurers, knights, or even just brothers messing around, they’d be unstoppable.
And today it seems like the two have joined forces, and soon it will be the world’s problem.
“Oh, that, well, we just talked a bit.” Rudeus admitted, wrapping an arm around Law’s shoulder. “We misunderstood each other in the past, but now we’ve opened up a bit.”
“Oh, may I know what brought my two handsome boys together?” Zenith cooed.
“The power of drawings and Master Roxy’s thighs.” Law blurted out and Paul spat out his drink all over his food.
The oldest Greyrat looked at his sons with wide eyes, then at Roxy, then at his wife.
“Boys… I’m so proud of you!”
“You shouldn’t encourage their behavior!” Zenith reprimanded Paul while Roxy blushed up a storm.
“Why not?!” Paul held his hands up. “They’re getting along because such a beautiful thing brought them together!” Paul argued. “Is that not something we should be happy about?!”
Zenith paused at her husband's words. She turned to look at her two boys who had innocent smiles on their faces.
“… I suppose you’re right.”
“I usually am.” Paul nodded sagely only to be lightly slapped on the back of his head by his wife.
Roxy looked at Law, remembering his confession from the night before. She didn’t doubt he was serious about her thighs, but she didn’t think that alone would bring the two boys together.
No, the two look like they went from tolerating each other to genuinely loving one another.
Such a relationship has to be worked for, achieved through serious communication.
Roxy wouldn’t meddle, but she was happy for the boys.
They would always be stronger together.
The group ate their breakfast and eventually it was time for the moment of truth.
Graduation.
— Law Greyrat —
The time was almost upon us.
Roxy had gone outside to fetch the Greyrat Horse, a steed that I hadn’t actually met because the sheer wildness of it had frightened the shit out of me. If the monsters of this world are anything like that horse, I won’t last long.
Nah, I’m just bullshitting. I’m gonna be overpowered by then!
I don’t know when I’m gonna become an adventurer, I haven’t really given it much thought, but probably a bit before my fifteen birthday.
Paul and Zenith were both Adventurers in the past. They were members of an S-Rank party by the name of Fangs of the Black Wolf.
I have no idea why they chose that name, and never asked, but they had a beastwoman teammate named Ghislaine who is also a Sword King, so that may be why.
Their adventuring party was strong and ran through their jobs like it was a cake walk, but they ended up splitting up when Zenith became pregnant with Rudeus.
A shame that they split up, but hey, maybe I can recruit some of them?
Paul mentioned an elf, a dwarf, and the beastwoman, and another but I forgot the last guy.
By the time I’m of adventuring age they shouldn’t be out of their prime, maybe I’ll gather them up and take Paul’s place as their new blade, only stronger!
I grinned and nodded at the idea.
Yes, that’d do nicely! And I could take Rudy and Sylphy along to be my two bullshit mages!
We’d carve our name into the history books!
“Hey Rudy, what do you think about becoming an adventurer?” I turned to my older brother who fell into thought.
“I mean, it sounds fun, I wouldn’t mind.” He admitted with ease. “As long as you’re there.” He side-eyed me and blushed a bit and I grinned.
Look at my older brother, he started off hating me but now he loves me! The ultimate tsundere!
As long as he don’t become a bro-con and develops an incest fetish, we’re good to go!
“Good, I wouldn’t want to do it without you either bud.” I patted his back and went outside. Both Sylphy and Rudy followed me out and we watched as Roxy got the horse ready.
Would we all fit on that chunky boy?
Eh, we’re all pretty small, I’m sure we’ll manage.
I walked forward and noticed that Paul, Zenith, and Lilia followed us outside.
Roxy looked over at all of us and smiled brightly.
“Well then, are you all ready?” She asked and we all nodded and made our way over to the horse.
Roxy helped us up, first Sylphy at the front, then me behind her, then Roxy, then Rudeus who sat behind her.
I gave him a look basically warding off any funny business and he gave me a goofy smile and thumbs up.
Yeah… he’s definitely gonna be a problem.
“Bye, enjoy yourselves!” Zenith waved and we all waved back and Roxy kicked the horses side, making the stead move forward.
“Law… you there?” I heard Rudeus ask as the horse began to pass by the wall.
“I’m here, Rudy.” I smiled and reached back past Roxy and patted his arm.
His nerves and fear of the outside were lessened from our experience last night, but all I did was direct his fear toward people rather than rid it completely.
Though once we got inside I tried to help him out more, explaining that Roxy was a complete stranger yet she was nice and there were plenty of nice people in the village, like Sylphy.
It helped him a bit, but his fears would never truly go away until he saw it for himself.
“I don’t know if we should keep going.” Rudeus whispered.
“You don’t have anything to worry about, Rudeus, just hold on tight.” Roxy smiled back at him and I appreciated the kind hearted woman for lending aid in Rudy’s most vulnerable moments.
This trauma of his would die today, and I was happy I’d be here to see it.
The further we got into the village, the less I heard his worried voice.
“Hello!” A farmer waved.
““Good day!”” Roxy, Sylphy, and I waved.
Rudeus remained silent but the further we went, the more people that greeted us, and eventually Rudeus joined in with a whisper.
From there the guy grew more and more confident, greeting people with us, and it was clear to see that he had pretty much gotten past his trauma.
“Thank you… all of you.” He whispered as we finally left the village.
“No need to thank us, Rudy. You did that on your own, none of us forced you to do it.” I chuckled and Roxy agreed.
Sylphy barely understood what was going on but I didn’t blame her for it, nor did I think she needed to know. Gotta keep the good quarter elf girl as pure as possible!
Rudy stayed quiet for the rest of the ride while Sylphy pointed out clouds she liked and Roxy and I would tell her what we thought they looked like.
Eventually we got far enough away from the village where we could settle down for our graduation.
I couldn’t get off the horse until Sylphy did otherwise I’d sweep her off, so I waited until she dismounted the stead.
She… took longer than I had hoped, but I didn’t blame her for it.
We all hopped off after and stretched out our legs. Both Sylphy and Rudy were mesmerized by the view in front of us, while Roxy and I eyed each other.
A blush came to my cheeks as I recalled last night. I kind of wish I could take back what I said, but the chance of something building later on makes me think regretting such an action is foolish.
This cute demon mage can be mine in ten years, all I have to do is keep her near and dear in my heart and meet her in ten years!
I didn’t need to think too much about it, I’d just let it happen naturally.
“Law…” Roxy said, getting my attention. She reached into the horse's saddle and pulled out a wand, a perfect copy to Rudy’s wand. “This is yours, sorry about not giving it to you earlier.”
I took the offered wand and inspected it with a smile.
This was probably the one and only time I would ever use this wand, but it still meant a lot to me.
“Thank you, Master.” I smiled warmly at the older woman and she returned it.
“Well… we shouldn’t stay here all day, let’s proceed.” Roxy walked forward, earning the other two’s attention.
“The spell you both will be performing is the Saint Level Water spell, Cumulonimbus.”
“Ooh, fancy name.” I whistled, earning a small amused smile from Roxy.
“Its name is befitting of its power, I will demonstrate it first.” Roxy began walking forward and I raised a nervous brow.
“Master!” I called out, stopping her in her tracks.
“Yes, Law?” She asked with a tilt of her head.
“Is it safe for us and the horse to just stand here while you do the spell?” I questioned, and her eyes went wide.
It fucking isn’t?!
What would have happened if she did it and we got swept away?!
“Master… you’re an odd woman.”
“Hush.” She blushed and waved her staff, a shield of rock came up around the horse. “All of you go in there, you should be safe.”
“… Should?” I deadpanned.
“This spell has the occasional lightning strike, the chances of it hitting that exact spot are… just trust me okay!” Roxy blushed even harder and I saluted her and moved into the earth sphere.
Rudy and Sylphy followed me and Roxy made it cover us more so that we were nearly fully protected, but still had enough of a gap for us to see her cast the spell.
Roxy stood in the field and took a deep breath before letting it out and holding her staff high.
“Oh, spirits of the magnificent waters, I beseech the Prince of Thunder! Grant me my wish, bless me with thy savagery, and reveal to this insignificant servant a glimpse of thy power! Let fear strike the heart of man as thy divine hammer strikes its anvil and covers the land with water! Come, oh rain, and wash everything away in thy flood of destruction—Cumulonimbus!”
A giant storm formed and great winds came by, winds that would have lifted us up and sent us flying!
The spell lasted for half a minute before finally dying and when it did, Roxy walked over to us looking completely unaffected.
“So, who’s next?” She asked with a small smile.
“I’ll go.” I cracked my neck with a grin. “Knowing Rudy he’s just gonna make his as big as possible to show me up no matter what, so might as well go and give him something to compete against.”
“You know me so well.” Rudy blinked and smirked.
I waved my hand as I left Roxy’s earth sphere and stood in the middle of the field.
This poor field was about to be drenched in three storms.
Well, maybe it’ll be good for new growth?
I held up my wand and tried to recall the words she just said, they began to fill my mind and I went with the flow and started my chant.
“Oh, spirits of the magnificent waters, I beseech the Prince of Thunder! Grant me my wish, bless me with thy savagery, and reveal to this insignificant servant a glimpse of thy power! Let fear strike the heart of man as thy divine hammer strikes its anvil and cover the land with water! Come, oh rain, and wash everything away in thy flood of destruction—Cumulonimbus!”
Like Roxy a giant storm swept over the field and I watched in awe at my power as a few strikes of lightning came down and hit the earth in front of me.
Lighting… seems powerful—and badass!
Once the storm was completely done, I walked over to the group and was met with a grinned Rudeus, an impressed Sylphy, and a deadpanning Roxy.
“Show-off.” My Master whispered but we all heard her and laughed.
“If you think that’s showing off, wait until you see mine!” Rudy grinned and left the safety of the shield.
We watched him wave his wand a few times before he began to chant. As he did, the clouds pulled together, the winds increased in speed, and the sky began to fill with light.
Loud cries of thunder rang out as lightning struck the ground again and again and again and again, the winds picked up even faster than what I could manage, and the rains fell harder.
Eventually his storm died down, and he was left standing in a flooded field.
“Ultra show off.” Roxy placed her hands on her hips with a smile as Rudy approached.
“You mean Saint Level showoff!” Rudy laughed like an evil villain, and Sylphy clapped for him.
“Whatever makes you sleep at night bud.” I shrugged, and our words only fueled his confidence even more.
Little asshole, but he’s a tolerable little asshole.
“Well then, we’re done here.” Roxy gave us all a proud smile. “Let’s head back.”
All of us nodded but the mood had dropped significantly as we all knew what it meant.
In just a few minutes, Roxy was going to leave us and move onto her next adventure.
We all mounted the horse and he and his strong, yet weary bones carried us back to our home in Buena Village.
As we reached our yard, Paul, Zenith, and Lilia were ready to greet us. I thought for a moment that they had been waiting for us all along, but chances were Paul was training, Zenith was gardening, and Lilia had been out running errands.
“We’re back!” Rudeus shouted and threw himself off the horse. He ran over to our parents and stopped in front of them with a giddy smile. “We passed!”
“That’s great, my little mage!” Zenith cooed as she swept Rudy up in a tight hug.
“Becoming a Saint Level Water Mage ain’t easy, good job boys.” Paul grinned, his attention directed toward me, or rather, his favorite.
His words, not mine.
“The storm they made was huge! Roxy’s was big, then Law’s was huge, then Rudy’s was even bigger!” Sylphy showed the storm sizes with her hands, trying to express how impressive it was to her but just only looking adorable in the process.
“It’s so great you had fun, sweetie!” Zenith smiled warmly at the quarter elf, making her blush.
“Yes, their performances were very impressive, it makes me feel more at ease knowing that I leave not two children behind, but two powerful Water mages.”
I couldn’t bring myself to smile as I realized the moment was here.
“It’s time I depart.” Roxy smiled sadly.
“You know you don’t have to Roxy, you’re a member of our family, we’re happy to have you here, you can stay!” Zenith tried to convince her to my surprise, I hadn’t known she wanted her to stay that bad.
Unfortunately, Roxy's mind was made up.
“I appreciate the offer, but I must go. Rudeus and Law have shown me that I still have much to learn.”
All of them frowned as she walked toward Rudy and I.
“You both have grown so much in the time I’ve known you, and I am certain your fates will hold amazing stories. Perhaps you can tell me some when we next meet.” She smiled softly as she patted both of our heads.
As much as I tried not to, I ended up tearing up but nodded my head anyway.
“Look at these strong boys, it was an honor to be your master. Remember, should you find your magical progress stalling, travel to the Ranoa Magic University and enroll, I’m sure you two can learn a lot from there.” Roxy patted both of our heads and took a step back and turned to Sylphy. She walked over to the green-haired girl and pulled her into a tight hug. “Take care of yourself, Sylphiette, I know you can keep these two in check for me, can’t you?”
“Mmm.” Sylphy nodded with tears falling down her face.
“I have no doubt you will.” Roxy stood up and turned her attention toward the adults. She bowed her head. “Thank you for allowing me this opportunity and being so kind to me, all of you.”
“It was an honor to have you, Roxy. Buena Village is your home now, you’re always welcome here.” Paul crossed his arms and offered the demon woman a gentle smile, one he rarely used.
“We love you Roxy, take care!” Zenith teared up.
“Your company has been refreshing, Master Roxy, and your presence will be missed.” Lilia bowed.
Roxy smiled at all of us before she walked over to the wall where her belongings were packed in a case, and she began to walk away.
We all watched her go further and further away, and a huge part of me wanted to ask her to take me too. There wasn’t anything Rudy and I could learn magic wise from this village anymore, sooner or later we’d have to leave—but ultimately I realized that meeting Roxy after we became more accomplished would be more meaningful in the long run.
But before she truly left, I ran forward and called her name as loud as I could.
“Master Roxy!”
She turned around and looked our way as I thought about my next words carefully. A bright, beaming smile came to my face as I spoke from my heart.
“Thank you for everything, I’ll see you in ten years!”
Even from the distance I knew Roxy enough to know she was blushing, and judging by how quick she turned around without walking, I knew I was right.
It took her a few seconds before she started walking again, and I knew I had cooked.
Yes, even with this young body of mine, and these horrid nerves—I have game.
— Sylphy (A Month Later) —
With Roxy gone, things were a bit more quiet and calm, which was both relaxing and saddening.
Sylphy loved Roxy dearly, like the older sister she never had, but she was happy that Roxy would continue doing what she loved in another place.
The quarter elf hoped that they’d meet one day soon, and when they did, Sylphy would show just how much she’s grown!
“Hey, you’re the Superd!” A boy shouted in disgust and a small amount of fear.
Sylphy turned to see a group of boys standing there with rocks in their hands.
“U-Um, I’m not a S-Superd she stuttered out, both in embarrassment and fear of what the boys had planned.
“Don’t lie to me, I know what you are!” The boy who seemed to be the leader shouted at Sylphy, making her grow even more scared.
“I-I’m sorry, I’m not!” She shook her head as tears began to fall out of her eyes.
“Just like a Superd to lie…” The boy grinned and threw the rock in the air a few times, “We’ll be the heroes this village needs and cast out the dirty demon!” The boy pulled his arm back and prepared to throw the rock, as did the others, and Sylphy ducked down and covered her head and closed her eyes.
She had the power to fight them, but didn’t want to hurt anyone, so she kept her head down and prayed they didn’t hurt her too badly.
Only… they didn’t hurt her.
Seconds passed and there was no pain, but suddenly Sylphy heard one of the boys scream in pain.
She looked up to see Rudeus standing in front of her with a water ball.
“You guys got some nerve picking on a girl, what did she do to you?”
“She-” one of the boys started before getting a water ball to the face.
“Actually, I don’t care, shut up.” Rudeus stared at them with dark eyes filled with hatred.
“You should be lucky I’m dealing with you and not my brother.”
“…. Y-Your brother?” The leader asked as he picked himself off the ground.
“He hates bullies, even more than I do.”
“Argh!” One of the boys shouted and fell to the ground, followed by another, then another, and eventually all of them were down and clutching their heads in pain.
Law stepped over the body of the leader and stopped beside Rudeus.
They had come to help her?
“Those guys have some nerve picking on Sylphy, she could kick all of their asses if she wanted to.” Law spat beside where the leader was lying in pain. “You lot aren’t even worthy enough to lick her boots.”
“Are you alright, Sylphiette?” Rudy offered his hand to her and she looked at it for a few seconds before tearing up. “Oh no, she’s crying!” Rudeus shouted in surprise.
“Maybe I should give one another a good whack, get the message across.” Law narrowed his eyes at the boys who shivered under his gaze.
Sylphy shook her head. “No, that’s not it.” She spoke softly, earning their attention.
“What’s wrong Sylphy?” Rudy crouched to her level.
“Nothing.” She smiled. “I’m happy I was able to make such good friends!” Sylphy sniffled and plunged her face into Rudeus’ chest.
He held her and let her cry out her tears that were born not of sadness, but joy. Even with Roxy gone, she had people she could rely on, people she could trust and play with and spend time with!
People she could call family!
