2024-06-08 09:11:14 +0000 UTCThe manga if graphically better and has better story telling. The anime skips most of the story and leaves out very important information. It also doesn’t follow the story very well, making a whole new counterpart story… which is super confusing to the watchers. Though if you don’t know the manga then the anime is pretty good, it just can be confusing because of the sudden action that has no information backing it up. And yes It is heavily censored from the manga to the anime, because of the gruesome and mentally deranged graphics in the manga. Theres a big difference between kaneki from the anime to kaneki from the manga starting at season 2. Hope this helps!

BUT, as someone who's watched this anime multiple times, the rest of it is not bad at all. S3 feels rushed.. absolutely, but it's not bad. I do agree the manga's better (just from what I know about it,) but since they're two different stories, you can watch and read them separately and compare them if you'd like. I would watch all your reactions regardless

2024-06-04 10:55:18 +0000 UTCWell... another bit of censorship, from studio there - there was no man and woman for Kaneki to choose who'll die... it was mother and a child. And Kaneki still was unable to choose. As for his hair turning white... anime fucked this up. His hair didn't turned in a single moment, it was slowly turning white during the torture, a medical phenomen known as Marie Antonine syndrome - basically, a lot of stress, both mental and physical can lead up to it. The same with his nails turning black. Anyhow, will watch reaction to season 2 if you will do it, though I will still stand by my point and say read the manga - afterall, they not just skipped half the manga, they change what that part of manga was about. The biggest problem is, TG was a very well planned series andthey didn;t managed to get it into the adaptation - hell, even number of chapters likely was not random. TG, first series, had 143 chapters to it... that's almost exactly the amout of how many times can you count down from 1000 by 7.

2024-06-04 09:40:13 +0000 UTCNeel watch the show season 3 is a bit confusing I watched the anime first and even though I was confused I still enjoyed watching the show and I feel like it rlly wasn’t that confusing the people that are saying oh don’t watch afterwards I think are just huge anime nerds that since it couldn’t match the manga makes the anime a disgrace to watch or something idk 😭
