If they were being reset that many times, in order for the others not to question it, then they would have to reset or modify every single one of the knights every single time that they do it. Meaning that if Alice is thirty and the other guy is 31, each other knight has to have been modified for each time Alice and this guy were reset, that way they would go along with the changes and make sure that they don't question the change that they display.
