It uses those parallels to teach new lessons and further develop characters from the previous arc by showing you the difference between them despite their similarities. This is done even in design Black vs White, and it goes further and shows you the difference between evading Arrancar vs shinigami....it does it on so many levels, tbh you'd need a video explanation to catch it all.
