2025-04-30 22:17:11 +0000 UTCI was so close to getting my prediction for your top 3 right. I had figured you'd have DOTD and Black Christmas but I thought you'd have Alien as #3. Off topic, but I actually love the DOTD remake way more than the original. It just clicks with me. The characters, the music, the pacing. You have to keep in mind that Halloween was the most successful independent movie ever when it came out. So way more people have seen it. Black Christmas was only a very modest success. People only started learning about it in recent years. That match is actually a good example of how I got my predictions perfect right through to the final top 3. One of the criteria I used was, which movie is more mainstream in a match up will likely win. TCM vs Alien was another perfect example. I wanted TCM but my gut told me take the mainstream more viewed film. That's not a knock on Alien. I love it too. Basically, people vote for what they know. Eraserhead would be an exception to that rule because I predicted it winning the 1st round because of all the David Lynch fans on the channel.
