Love this movie, probably my favorite from Stuart Gordon. I'm also partial to Stuck, which he based around the real life case of a nurse hitting a homeless man and leaving him in her windshield, which happened just a county away from me in the DFW area. I remember being surprised when the head scene was mentioned in American Beauty way back when I saw it. Mena Suvari was in that and by happenstance wound up being in Stuck. 🤣 Weird how things work out. The old Elite DVD has a cast and crew commentary track that's a blast to listen to. I used to love commentaries in the DVD days because they had people from the actual films. Now with Blu-ray, it's usually some "expert" or critic. Blah. David Gale and Jeffrey Combs would reunite in The Guyver a few years later, this time as allies and with Combs playing Dr. East (insert roll eyes). A fun but silly movie. The sequel took things in a darker direction closer to the manga it was based on and is quite awesome. Producer Brian Yuzna went on to direct one of my favorites of all time, Society. That's one I would LOVE for you to do a first watch of. It's prime reaction material, believe me. I don't think his Re-Animator sequels are that great, but he did the third Return of the Living Dead which is another gem.

I love Re-Animator this movie rules, also you totally do a First Watch of the movie called From Beyond it also stars Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs and is again directed by Stuart Gordon and also Re-Animator came out 3 years before Die Hard did so I doubt it's the same Hans Gruber they were mentioning Lol 😂

How on Earth is he going to explain the status of the morgue?🤣 Even the 1st time in the morgue you'd think Herbert would have restrained the corpse, seeing that the cat came back with violent aggression. Dead Alive is the only movie I think can top the craziness. Evil Dead can match it.
