There have been a great deal of changes at work recently. My old chief has retired to a position they've explicitly opened to keep them on board since they know all the bigwigs in the city/state. A lot easier to fundraise when you don't cut off the main schmoozer and force them to retire.
My new chief is taking on the extensive workload and tossing most of it to me, which also came with a raise, so not much I can argue on that end. I've had to scale back my writing time to meet the workload. As we advanced, I wanted to write a little daily and make the total more than my regular weekly chapters, but that did not work.
This is a hobby I love, but it isn't, unfortunately, my day job.
I'll be moving to a chapter a month, most likely at the end of the month. It might be more extensive, but it will not be smaller.
