Good job. That was a 5 star movie

One of my favorite movies! 5 star movie. I know your generation wants Super Heroes, super natural or fantasy. 3 stars laughable

thomas king

This movie is kind of a sequel to the movie Gangster Squad (2013) with Josh Brolin And Ryan Gosling. That movie is all about busting Mickey Cohens operation

Armband-Mondo

Loved this. Each of the three main characters we followed fell somewhere different on the moral scale and each ended up crossing their own moral line before the story ended. The self centered Hollywood detective that always makes the smart move, instead makes the moral decision to do what's right and it costs him. The corrupt cop who long ago crossed into thug with a badge territory and hates men who hit women, falls the last few steps to rock bottom and hits a woman he cares about, becoming his own worst enemy, then makes the choice to go after the very corruption he had been faithfully serving up until then. The straight cop who refuses to break any rules, to never feed corruption has to break the law and commit murder for the greater good. Fucking great story telling. Great reaction, Biss, thanx.

Hi Bisscute 😀 From San Antonio Texas USA 😀 Wonderful reaction and analysis and commentary. Here's some information on some of the inquiries that you were curious about while watching the movie.... Swish is a US English slang term for effeminate behavior and interests (camp), emphasized and sanctioned in gay male communities prior to the Stonewall riots. This behaviour is also described as being nelly in British English, and both terms are often considered to be derogatory. Based on historical data from the 1950s, the wholesale price of heroin varied, but 25 lbs (approximately 11.3 kg) would have cost roughly $25,000 to $50,000+ in the U.S. market, depending on purity and the specific year. In the 1950s: Wholesale Pricing: By the early 1950s, heroin was heavily controlled but remained in good supply, with prices indicating a kilogram (2.2 lbs) was in the range of a few thousand dollars. 1950s Context: In 1956, a small amount of heroin was worth $27, indicating that large quantities (25 lbs) represented a major investment. Contextual Comparison: While later decades saw massive inflation in drug prices (1970s, 1980s), 25 pounds in the 1950s would still be considered a massive shipment with a value in the tens of thousands. Drug Policy Facts Note: The 1950s was a period where heroin was often easier to purchase in certain areas than in later decades, despite increased federal arrests. The "just the facts" phrase is a called back to the radio and then TV show Dragnet starring Jack Webb as Sergeant Joe Friday... Here's the link to the 1967 first season of the Dragnet television show episode number one entitled "The LSD story"... https://youtu.be/SqCLTe3FP0g?si=PBXxt3lwbBlDUU7- You are absolutely correct in a battle always loot from the ones that you kill. Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so very much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye bye 😀👍💪❤️✔️

I would say, Dearest Biss, that corruption being, generally speaking, down in Western democracies has dropped in lock-step with the scrutiny with which the various police, military and governmental offices can be subjected. There’s an old saying, ‘sunlight makes the best disinfectant.’ What it means is that the more ‘eyes’ are present on something or someone, the ‘sunlight,’ the more difficult it is to be corrupt. So, all the cellphones that everyone carries in their pocket can bring instantaneous video evidence. The internet means that images and proof of corruption can be spread globally instantaneously. The fact that all the work anyone does is documented and stored, basically, forever. All governmental, law enforcement and military computers are subject to surveillance and seizure by the whole chain of command above the user. You had mentioned that you thought us living today might have cooled off our ‘animal instincts,’ I think was the term you used. I’m not sure if that’s right but it seems that because you simply cannot escape the world knowing everything about you and what you’re doing, it’s just harder to be both corrupt and concealed. Do this thought experiment, if you would: Stalin headed the most totalitarian, pervasive and intrusive societies in all human History. If you betrayed or angered Stalin if you were in the government a whole team of people was prepared at all time to enter the photographic vault and, literally, erase, delete or redact your image from every one of them. I’m not sure if it’s a true story but, supposedly, someone asked him, “So how do you handle it when someone from your own nation becomes a problem for you?” Stalin’s seemingly honest but utterly gruesome response was, “No person…… no problem.” So, my question is, how would Stalin’s rule contend with the modern technologies we have today? Today it’s not anywhere as easy to simply erase someone from existence. Everyone knows, everyone sees and computer files neither forget nor get erased.

A ruckus is a loud noise or series of noises. It also can mean a noisy confrontation as in “you came in here causing a ruckus.” Synonym with commotion. Bupkes is, actually, a Yiddish word for ‘nothing.’ Knowing or hearing bupkes means you haven’t heard or know anything about something. It’s not used or heard much nowadays because Yiddish isn’t spoken much outside conservative Jewish communities. The actress who you thought was so pretty with nice teeth, Bud’s girlfriend, is Kim Basinger. Ironically enough, she played Eminem’s mother in ‘8 Mile.’

Stay tuned, dear viewers. I have a few more "onion" movies planned for the future. Maybe I'll even get that coveted 5-star ranking one day. Thank you for your great watch and reaction to this flick, Biss. Glad it could keep you engaged and enraged. Until next month, "Bye, Bye!!"
