2025-08-25 04:00:05 +0000 UTCI very much enjoy this film and your reaction was excellent as always. The director, Zhang Zimou, has a habit of making films that have a more artistic bent than some. The choreography is part of that. I would recommend watching another one of his collabs with Zhang Ziyi (the woman who played Moon in this one) called House of Flying Daggers. Very good film, in my opinion. Martial arts plus an interesting story. If you are interested in more Jet Li, he's got a bunch of good films, some of my favorites are these: Fearless Romeo Must Die Unleashed Kiss of the Dragon The One Donnie Yen, who plays Sky, has a bunch of good films too: The Ip Man series Iron Monkey Shanghai Knights Crouching Tiger stars Zhang Ziyi as well, in addition to Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat. I would strongly recommend that you watch that one. Asian martial arts cinema at its very best.
