Dune Part 2 Full Uncut

You know you can upload the video without blurring it out. Especially if you’re in a diff country

This is where, for instance, Disney has done a terrible disservice to girls. Disney gives the complete wrong idea of what a princess is, what it means to be a princess. Princesses are raised to understand that their desires are secondary to their own family’s needs. She might hope to marry this or that prince that she meets but, ultimately, she will be wed to a member of the other house that will strengthen her family’s position. I believe you’re familiar with Game of Thrones. Consider the character ‘Margarey,’ played by Natalie Dormer. The first king she was supposed to marry was much more interested in her brother than her and she was completely fine with it. Remember, she explained to him, “You’re a king, you can have whatever you want. So long as you put a baby in me, you can do whatever you want!” Then she married ‘Joffrey,’ knowing full well what a monster he is, yet raised from birth armed with every sort of strategy to control him, to avoid being beaten and tormented like ‘Sansa.’ Would ‘Chani’ even want to be empress? She was raised to ride worms and survive in the desert. Can you imagine how miserable court life would be for her? I completely understand your perspective. You’re empathizing with ‘Chani’ in the sense that girls/women get an idea of what they want and are highly disappointed if all the boxes are not checked. That’s completely understandable but never has it been that royalty’s lives are their own. If you’ve ever watched ‘The King’s Speech,’ the woman who would become Queen Elizabeth II, the one that died a few years ago, she had an uncle that was older than her father. That uncle fell in love with a divorced American woman and refused to give her up. That was his choice but, in making it, he had to abdicate the throne. In the book there’s a scene not in this movie where, of course, Chani is upset but in the book Jessica immediately pulls her aside and says something to the effect of, “I hear the Princess is a scholarly sort, likes her books. I hope that will sustain her for the rest of her life, for that is all she’ll get from my son. His heart belongs to you and you alone.” Let me turn the question back on you, if I may. If you were Chani and Paul gave you the choice: we can go off back to the desert while the rest of the universe devolves into a war we don’t know who will win but every house, ultimately, will be looking to take control of Arrakis, the spice or I can make a marriage of convenience with a woman I don’t love and spend all my time with you, which would you choose? I completely get that neither solution is perfect but which is the LEAST bad choice?

Lamar Smith

Do you know why he killed it with chani? Because chani was a girl who believed in the rules of the heart, but the heart is not meant to rule. In other words: she not as hot as the princess.

There's really no good way to explain the Paul/Chani/Princess Irulan stuff without spoiling parts of the next movie. Assuming they stick to the book, because the movie version of Chani is already fairly different than the book version. But yes, if there are Imax theaters near you, and it comes back on, you should go watch it. The theater experience is just so much more. As good as it looks, the sound and music is brain frying. This movie was the first time Ive ever watched a movie twice in theaters. The sound was deep frying my brain, causing me to miss parts of the story on the first watch so I had to go again to catch the bits I missed.

Yup, 5 out of 5. Easily one of best science fiction movies, or any genre of movie. If I recall correctly, in the novel, the Ferman are united. The movie depicts Chani and the her people as non believers in Maud'dib and his prophecy. So, her and Paul are on very different paths, and I agree with his decision to marry the emperors daughter. He may love Chani, but that doesn't mean it's is right to be with her based the circumstances. Once Paul accepted his destiny, it was over between them. Or maybe we will see in part three, something might be worked out for them. And it's funny, cuz I kinda felt the romance between Paul and Chani was somewhat weak and I felt the chemistry was just ok. That Maybe cuz I knew their relationship was in trouble from the start. Well part three is going to be based on the second book, Dune: Messiah. The author, Frank Herbert wrote 6 novels in the series. The first Dune novel was released in 1965 and the Last by Frank was released in 1985. His son Brian, went on to write the prequel and sequel novels starting in 1999, and has released close to 20 of Dune franchise of novels.

What if the choice was hers? You can have the man of your dreams but all your people will die as a result. Paul can see all future paths, the one he's chosen is the narrow one he's seen that leads to victory.

William

As someone who has read all the books I will say that the reason that Paul had to marry the Emperor's daughter is because after he drank the life's blood he was able to see every single possible future all at once and he was able to find a very specific set of events that needed to happen in order to avoid the mass genocides and self sacrifices for his namesake and one of the unfortunate realities of the choices he had to make was to marry her. He never is in love with her and basically she stays in the castle and his life is spent with Chani, but in order to save humanity from extreme worship he had to marry her. Hope this helps put into context why he chose to do it. (I do wish the movie had done a better job of explaining that but hopefully Dune Messiah will touch on it a little more.)

Eric Hanna

yes because we really want to be mistresses . I can totally see why you don't understand

Biss Reactions

I really don't understand why she's so upset, telling that girl he would always love her was a kindness, saying no matter what you hear in the next few minutes, know that I will always love you. So he has to take a marriage of convenance to fulfil his destiny, she can still be his mistress.

William

I've only read the first novel (which these first two movies adapt). I read it before Dune Part 1 was released. I liked the novel better, but I loved this Dune Part 2 as well.

This is just one part of a larger story. He did tell her he would do what he had to do to unite the people. Also, we will have to wait to see what happens next in their story. There's a war about to start, and we don't know how that'll affect everyone involved. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

My prophecy: The third movie, Dune Messiah, will make Biss take her true final form. The Shrimp!🍤

This was great. From what I've heard, part 1 and part 2 are very mostly true to the book. This is just book 1. One of the main points of the books (I think) was the dangers of worshipping your heroes and leaders. When the books came out many fans missed the meaning and thought Paul was the hero, which he's really not.
