2024-01-19 22:27:28 +0000 UTCI think he earned the oscar with Malcolm X, surprised that's not even being mentioned on some of these lists. Definitely agree on Training Day being way overrated

2024-01-18 10:32:57 +0000 UTC5 out of 5 His best film IMO. Everyone does know that it's easier to suggest just one movie...then when everyone ❤️'s the suggestion it's easier for Biss to identify which is most requested? Making a list of 15 Denzel movies (or any other movie) makes it difficult to know which one to react to next. You can't go wrong with any of the suggestions listed above, so when someone suggests just one, I'll leave my ❤️

2024-01-14 04:28:51 +0000 UTCThis is his best movie...this is the real one that he should've won his Oscar for. He's a barely a supporting actor in Glory, and Training Day was Meh at best. IMO

2024-01-13 13:22:02 +0000 UTCJust to explain, when he called his friend about the primer on the bullet failing. The primer sets off the gun powder in the bullet. He tried to take his life but the primer failed, rare (act of GOD?). That same bullet was given to Pita's dad and when he tried to take his life, the primer DID NOT fail.

2024-01-13 05:11:35 +0000 UTCThank you for watching this movie, I've been wanting you to watch it for awhile. One of my personal fav of all time. I suggest you put the movie "Revenge" on your radar. Starring Kevin Costner and Madeline Stowe. As you can tell by the name, it's a revenge movie. I LOVED it, great movie shot in Mexico as well.

2024-01-13 00:38:51 +0000 UTCWatch Glory or Training Day, can't believe out of all his movies this person picked this one.

2024-01-06 18:54:41 +0000 UTCI think Biss is going to love Remember the Titans. American Football fans generally love it of course, but when I saw it the first time I was living in the PI and watched it with my Aussie neighbor, his Filipina wife and a Filipina lady they tried like hell to set me up with. Only the Aussie friend of mine could tell American football from curling. We all loved it. The girls figured out enough about the sport to get the movie, and might have liked it more than the guys. It is, while somewhat complex in the details, a super simple sport. The Pelican Brief was my first Denzel movie and one of my favorites. It led to my reading most of John Grisham's books, which are all fantastic. Outside of many westerns when I was a kid (Luis L'Amour and Zane Grey), Grisham novels were about my only foray outside of epic fantasy novels.

2024-01-06 16:14:55 +0000 UTCThe ones I remember the most are Inside Man (I think there was a remake so watch out for that), Remember the Titans and The Book of Eli. Don't know if I saw Flight or Training Day. So, maybe that says something about those movies.

2024-01-06 13:43:30 +0000 UTCI was thinking of suggesting Remember the Titans but didn't recall how much the sport mattered. I feel like The Pelican Brief is a classic and a must see. The Bone Collector could be up her alley.

2024-01-06 04:21:02 +0000 UTCMy favorite line from the movie was, "Cut off another finger, I think he knows more." Oh wait, that was Biss. Other Denzel Movies, you pick the order. The Equalizer (1, 2 and 3) 3 is w/ Dakota Fanning (Pita), only all grown up. Training Day Crimson Tide - w/Vigo Mortenson (Aragorn from LotR) The Pelican Brief - w/ Julia Roberts Philadelphia - w/Tom Hanks Remember the Titans Fallen Deja Vu The Book of Eli The Magnificent Seven The Bone Collector - this one is kind of dark, might save it for next October. I heard it said like this once. Not every Denzel movie will be your favorite movie, but every Denzel movie is someone's favorite Denzel movie. I believe that to be true. I know I said any order, but I would start closer to the top.

2024-01-06 03:34:28 +0000 UTC"¡Caca explosiva!" Hahaha! Well put! It's been a minute since the last time I had the opportunity to use my (admittedly awful) Spanish regularly, but I do remember, "caca," strictly speaking is, "poop," and "diarrea," is just, "diarrhea," so word-for-word, "explosive diarrhea," translates to, "diarrea explosiva." Why do I remember that, specifically, out of everything? ...No sé 😉

2024-01-06 02:46:22 +0000 UTCDenzel has so many good movies under his belt. Personally, I've been meaning to watch Deja Vu again. Maybe not his most popular, but very interesting to me, at least.

2024-01-06 01:24:40 +0000 UTCDenzel is great in all three (he's ALWAYS great) but for me, this is easily my favorite movie of his. I will say I think Training Day was perhaps his most impressive performance. The thing that puts Man on Fire over the top for me is Dakota Fanning. I am looking forward to seeing them together again now that she's all grown up in Equalizer 3.

2024-01-06 01:21:30 +0000 UTCI’m really happy you enjoyed the movie! This movie was based off of a book with the same title, that actually takes two stories and combined them into one. I believe the kidnappings actually took place in Italy, and it tracks a guy who was a bodyguard and saved a girl. Also, Mexican cops can definitely be corrupt. When I was living in El Paso, we used to go over the border into Juarez And the police look for Americans to pull over because they knew they could get us to give them $50 and they would let us go. Mexico is a special place but a weird one. I loved this movie when it first came out and I’m glad you did too!

2024-01-06 01:19:44 +0000 UTCTony Scott directed the first Top Gun movie. That may be why u recognize the name.

2024-01-06 00:36:17 +0000 UTCYeah, I know this is popular in the community, but I would have chosen several other Denzel movies over this one.
Adam
2024-01-06 00:23:58 +0000 UTCWhile this is a good Denzel Washington film, Crimson Tide and Training Day are definitely better.
