Well, Luffy didn't eat poisoned soup in the manga/anime and Koby, Helmeppo, and Garp weren't a part of this part of the manga/anime, so Luffy definitely didn't yak like that girl from Pitch Perfect lol. One thing they did a great job of in this episode is all of Zoro's fight scenes, well, all of Zoro's fight scenes in the live action are really good. I also like the horror vibes, even though they could've done a better job of it. What I don't like in this version of Syrup Village is that it's almost exclusively done in Kaya's mansion, which means constricted sets and dimly lit (if, at all lit) scenes. This restricts the scenes to be a little clunky, but I understand there were a lot of limitations they had to deal with. Also, I didn't like how they dealt with Usopp here. He was basically sidelined for the whole thing while Luffy and Zoro did all the work. What I like about the manga/anime version is that Usopp actually had a lot of agency and did a lot of the fighting himself instead of just being a bystander like he is here in the live action. Usopp's actor does a great job with Usopp's personality and quirks here, though. I also really like that Usopp refused to leave when he first told Kaya about Klahadore being a pirate, which is a nice change from the manga/anime.
