Two possible ideas
Added 2025-07-26 03:46:02 +0000 UTCI'm thinking of writing something shorter to shake the rust off and I have two ideas. Just something more lighthearted and (hopefully) funny.
Idea 1: Princess Blake. The RWBY comics portray Blake as being very innocent, sheltered, and naive rather than the closed off cynic and would-be revolutionary she is in the story. This oneshot leans into it by basically making her Menagerie's princess who has Huntress level training but is naive to a fault. So Jaune, who is assigned as her minder, has to keep her out of trouble when she visits Vale and is blind to the discrimination she's facing.
Idea 2: Cop Jaune. A joke someone made on the discord about how Jaune was raised to be a cop/sherrif by his dad...with all the negative stereotypes that implies. Like when Blake reaches into her pocket he screams that she's going for her gun and pepper sprays her. Then he defends himself by saying he feared for his life. You know what those Faunus are like. He was just defending himself.
So yeah, two different Blake/Jaune stories with completely contrasting tones. Idea 1 has Jaune be the put upon babysitter who is nonetheless fond of Blake. Idea 2 has Blake fucking hating Jaune for being a dirty cop stereotype.
Vote for which one you want. I might do both down the line, but the one voted will be the one that comes out first.

As funny as you would make cop jaune, i don’t think it can really beat how rwby already showed the cops as incompetents. Also I feel like there’s a ton more material to be gotten iut of Blake speaking like a victorian princess than jaune being racist
