This Girl's Kind of Weird - Chapter 5
Added 2024-05-25 18:01:43 +0000 UTCWarning: this chapter gets pretty dark and sad. We'll go back to humor by the next chapter, but this one's gonna be heavy. Hopefully, you guys are okay with that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another day in this beautiful world.
Ruby sighed happily as she woke up from a particularly pleasant sleep. The two of them had just come back from a really tough mission last night. A hecking Leviathan had shown up in a coastal village and they only had a few hours warning. Most everyone had written the settlement off already. A Leviathan was more a natural disaster than a Grimm (though Ruby personally thought they were one and the same). Some larger cities like Argus could hold them off, but for just about any other place, the only solution was to evacuate and try to make a new start elsewhere.
Not for them, of course.
The fight had been a long and harrowing one. By the time they got there, the Leviathan was just about to make it to shore. Most of the villagers had already escaped save a few people who were too slow or too stubborn to leave. She remembered charging in as the Leviathan took its first steps at the edge of the seaside settlement. Jaune was right behind her, armor shining and weapon raised. Just knowing that he had her back made her feel unstoppable.
It was a battle for the ages. By the time they were done, the Leviathan had gone down...along with a quarter of the town. There was nothing they could do about that. Her Silver Eyes had been expended dealing with a horde just a day ago and it was even a miracle that there was a village left to come back to after a Leviathan showed up.
The two of them were exhausted by the time they got back to Patch. Ruby barely recalled the two of them stumbling into their shared bedroom and collapsing on their shared bed.
She sat up and stretched her arms above her head with a soft groan. Jaune's side of the bed was empty, but the sounds of sizzling and off-key singing coming from downstairs made it clear where he was. Ruby giggled and looked down at her attire. Just a thin camisole and a pair of shorts. Perfect for the recent heatwave that hit Patch without any warning.
And perfect for slipping out of when the mood took her...
Ruby swung her legs over the side of the bed, bare feet padding as she made her way downstairs. The smell of bacon in the air made her stomach rumble, but right now, she was hungry for a different kind of meat.
Her hunger only got worse at the sight that greeted her in the kitchen. There Jaune was, standing in front of the stove with nothing but a pair of boxers. Ruby licked her lips as she eyed him from head to toe. Jaune - her partner, husband, and the love of her life - had changed a lot from the lanky noodle she first met at Beacon. The warrior's wolf tail, those muscles, that smile that could brighten up any room...well, he always had the last part, but still.
"Hey, Ruby." He looked back and gave her that winning smile, "How do you want your eggs?"
"Fertilized."
The words slipped out before she could stop herself. Jaune blinked in slight surprise while Ruby sauntered up to him, her steps measured and mouth curled in a lascivious grin, "Mmm.." She wrapped her arms around his chest and nuzzled her face against his back. Despite the heat, she clung to him without hesitation.
"Rubes, come on, I'm cooking breakfast." Despite his (half-hearted) complaints, he made no move to shrug her off. Ruby smirked and ran her hands up and down his chest, fingers brushing against his abs. Oh, she was the luckiest woman on Remnant to be able to touch these every day.
Her hands trailed lower and lower. Jaune's movements stilled slightly but he kept cooking even as her fingertips finally reached the hem of his boxers, "Oh, someone's excited." She licked her lips again as her hands finally reached under the dark fabric. His cock was hard and ready for her. The stiff rod felt exceedingly warm in her palm and she bit her lower lip as she felt it throb. Years of happy marriage and she still felt as giddy as their honeymoon whenever they got into the mood.
"Ngh..." Jaune bit his lip to keep from moaning. Ruby giggled at that. He always did it even now. Despite her hubby having the look of a Mistralian hero statue, he was always so shy in some ways. She didn't mind. It made teasing out those sounds she adored all the more satisfying.
Slowly, softly, Ruby began to jerk her hand up and down his shaft. Another weak moan passed through pursed lips and Ruby's mouth curled up in another lascivious grin and she breathed deeply, enjoying the smell of his natural musk, "You don't have to hold back, Jaune," she whispered, voice muffled by his skin. She left a trail of kisses starting from his right shoulder blade then standing up on her tiptoes to bite and suck at his collar.
Jaune let out another satisfied sound and Ruby sighed happily. She adored this. Jaune was a true Huntsman, someone who could face an entire horde of Grimm without flinching, and yet he was absolute putty in her hands, "That's it..." she whispered into his ear. The pace of her handjob quickened and she felt the rod twitching more and more. Jaune had gotten way better at holding himself back - all the better to make sure their pleasure lasted longer - but she knew which buttons to push.
And she was going to make him break.
Her thumb grazed across the head of his cock and he hissed through his teeth. Just barely, she saw him turn off the stove, "Let's not think of breakfast right now," she whispered again, "Come on, there's something else I want to eat."
Jaune suddenly turned and picked her up with both hands. Ruby shrieked in both surprise and excitement as Jaune carried her out of the kitchen. As fun as it would've been to be taken right there on the dinner table, they didn't want to replace it...again. You could only break tables in half so many times before your friends started asking questions.
Jaune dropped her on the couch and loomed over her on all fours. Ruby's heart beat in excitement and her eyes flicked down from his oh-so-distracting muscles to the prominent bulge in his boxers. His dick was fighting against the dark fabric, trying in vain to keep it down. A valiant effort, "No need to hold back, Jaune," she purred, raising her right hand and rubbing the throbbing tent, "I've been a bad girl. You should punish me."
No more words needed to be said. Jaune growled and tore her shorts off, earning an excited squeal from her. He wasn't gentle about it. The fabric was torn clean off, exposing her already-soaked pussy to the open air. She loved it when Jaune took charge. As much as she adored making him putty in her hands, there was nothing quite like the feeling when he took control and reminded her exactly why he was one of the people who saved the world.
There was no teasing or foreplay this time. As soon as his nine-inch rod hit the open air, he sheathed it all the way to the hilt inside her snatch. Ruby sucked in a quick breath then moaned shamelessly, so loud that it could be heard even from the outside of their cozy cabin. Their daughter - Summer - was spending some time with her Auntie Weiss, so they didn't have to worry about anyone walking in or being disturbed. As much as she adored their pride and joy, moments like these where they could be alone were irreplaceable.
Which was why Ruby felt absolutely no shame as the next words came out of her mouth, "F-Fuck! Ah, fuck! So good!" Ruby hugged him tight as he ravaged her cunt. In, out, in, out. He wasn't gentle or soft in the least. The head of his cock slammed against the walls of her cervix and pleasant jolts of pain shot through her body with every insertion.
She'd changed a lot from that short, mousy girl when she first arrived in Beacon. She was a true Huntress now and had the muscles and scars to prove it. Yet despite it all, some part of her friends still thought they had to be gentle with her. Especially Yang. Maybe she shouldn't have been surprised - Yang did help raise her after mom died - but it still annoyed her to no end.
Jaune was different. He treated her like a princess, sure, but he also knew when she wanted it rough. As his cock pistoned in and out of her pussy, his hands grabbed at her tits and groped with an undeniable hunger. A guttural growl escaped through his bared teeth and Ruby felt like she was in utter heaven. This was what they fought for. Not just to save the world from that evil witch, but for their personal happy endings.
He was getting close. They both were. Jaune was about to pull out and coat her stomach in his seed when she wrapped her legs around his waist, "C-Cum inside, Jaune! Let's have another baby!" Jaune grinned at the desperate cry and oh-so-slowly inserted all nine inches of hard cockmeat back into her sopping wet quim. Ruby gritted her teeth, closed her eyes, and focused on the feeling as he stuffed her full again. Oh Gods. She loved him so much. She loved him, she loved him, she love-
Her eyes shot wide open as his warmth filled her. Ruby moaned, head raised and tongue lolling out shamelessly as her husband's seed coated her insides white. They were always careful about that kind of thing. After all, they were both active Huntsmen and Ruby already felt bad that they were leaving Summer alone for so much time. But now, she could imagine settling down a bit. Spend maybe a few years watching Summer and their new baby grow up.
It was the least they deserved.
Jaune collapsed on top of her. The heavy weight felt comforting and she smiled serenely, arms wrapping around his back in a weak embrace. His length was rapidly softening but he was still inside her; still connected. Right now, she felt like the luckiest woman on Remnant. She'd stopped Salem, saved the world, and did it without any of her friends dying. This was the ending she fought so hard for, the ending she deserved after all those years of struggling.
Ruby's eyes parted open and she turned to Jaune. Half his face was the charred skin falling off and making way to expose the skull underneath. The other half was locked in an expression of pure agony, his remaining eye wide and mouth parted in a ghastly scream.
That was the face he made when Cinder burnt him alive right in front of her eyes.
She could hear the screams ringing in her ears even now; remembered how she fought and cried and begged for Jaune's life. Remembered Cinder's deranged smile as she closed her hand and Jaune was engulfed with flames so hot that the armored had melted into his skin. She'd burned her hands on it after she killed Cinder. The blood coating her palms and fingers had dried on contact with Jaune's body and she remembered the pain as her own skin burned when she touched the molten metal.
Because Jaune was dead. Cinder killed him and she didn't get her happy ending.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruby shot up with a scream. She looked around frantically, breaths coming out in ragged pants. She was in their dorm room in Beacon, "W-Wha?" Everything came rushing back at once. Jaune dying against Cinder and Salem during that last, desperate battle. The months she spent just going through the motions. Then that first glimmer of hope when she found out a way to go back in time. Weiss had called her desperate and said that she was just living in a fantasyland, but Ruby knew she wanted the same thing. A world where she didn't lose her sister and take up the burden as the Maiden. A world where millions didn't die because of a spiteful witch and a power-hungry psychopath.
A world where they could all get their happy endings.
The door to the bathroom opened and Jaune rushed out. His hair was messy and there was a toothbrush hanging from his mouth, "Wh-What's wrong? Did something happen?!"
Seeing him again made all her fears and anxieties disappear. Jaune was still alive, and nothing was going to change that. Not Cinder, not Neo, and not Salem. She'd fight them all and make sure she and Jaune got together like they were supposed to. And this time, she wouldn't wait till the day before everything ended before making sure of it.
"Ruby, what's- woah!"
He practically toppled over when she suddenly tackled him in an embrace. Ruby held him tight and pressed her face against his chest. Not as big and muscular as the Jaune back in her past(future?), but it had the same warmth, "I just had a bad dream." It was the truth, so it wasn't like she had anything to feel guilty about, "Maybe it's cause we weren't cuddling. We really need to work on waking up at the same time."
"Y-Yeah..."
She kept hugging him for a couple more minutes before reluctantly pulling away from his embrace. As much as she wanted to stay longer, she knew that she couldn't. They had classes, and then there were other things she had to do. Cinder and her cronies would officially show up at school in the next term and she had to make plans. Taking out Emerald first was crucial. Her Semblance would be a pain to deal with even with her skills and enhanced Aura.
And then there was Raven. Tracking her down was gonna be a bitch and a half; Raven being the bitch in the analogy. She was stampeding around Anima, destroying villages because of some fucked up justification about Social Darwinism. Bitch. Well, at least she couldn't complain when Ruby kicked her teeth in. Still, finding her was only half the problem. The other half was making sure she didn't run away like the coward she was. She'd need the headmaster's help for that, and maybe General Ironwood's.
As for finding her...well, she had an idea for that, but she'd need Yang's help. Which was easier said than done considering how weird Yang was being, acting all proper and demure. It was so obviously fake. Ruby had no idea who Yang thought she was fooling.
"Ruby, you alright? You're...staring off into space. Again."
"I'm fine, Jaune. Just enjoying the show." She licked her lips and leered at his torso.
He looked down and only just then seemed to realize that he was half naked. His cheeks flushed pink and he made an excuse before going back to the bathroom. So cute. The two of them were so shy back then, and if she didn't push it they'd spend years before getting together again. Not this time. This time, she wasn't going to waste away precious years with a 'will they or won't they'. They were gonna do it, and if she had her way, it would come very soon.
Her scroll pinged. Ruby looked at the screen and smiled at the message, "Have a very good morning, Ruby!" It was from Penny. Meeting her again had been a...shock. She expected it, of course - Penny was one of her biggest reasons for coming back - but she'd been so busy the past couple of weeks that everything else just slipped her mind. She was going to make sure that everyone got their happy endings. Herself, her friends, even her sister, no matter how weird she was acting right now.
Classes passed by in a blur. She already knew just about everything there was. She knew every kind of Grimm and their weakness (it was either that or die), knew what plans to eat and use as medicine (it was either that or die), and knew how to fight just about anyone (it was that or- well, you got the point). The only thing she was lacking on was history, and that was at least half because Oobleck - another casualty of that damned war - talked a mile a minute.
That and she didn't really care about history. She was more focused on the present and the future.
Her thoughts drifted to something altogether more important: setting up Blake and Yang. She eyed both her sister and the not-so-secret Faunus. They didn't get into the same team, which was to be expected. She knew that partnering with Jaune would shuffle things around and made contingencies on what to do. Blake and Yang partnering up was inevitable, but Weiss could've ended up with anyone, really. Ren would've been a good fit, but Pyrrha was nice too.
Her lips curled in a slight frown at the thought that she and her past(?) bestie weren't really spending a lot of time together. It made sense, of course. They weren't partners anymore and she'd focused on both training Jaune and her plans to keep everyone alive. Still, it was kind of sad to think about. She promised herself that they'd spend more time together once Cinder and her cronies were dead. Taking on Salem would need some longer planning, which gave her enough time to relax. Maybe go on some naughty dates with Jaune. Hehe.
Blake turned to look at her, brows furrowed and lips pursed. Ruby grinned and wiggled her fingers back in a silent hello. The two of them hadn't talked much ever since she asked her for intel about her crazy ex. That was another thing she had to fix when she finally got some downtime.
After all, she was gonna be her future sister-in-law.
Ruby waited till classes finished before meeting up with Blake again that afternoon. Her favorite spot was a secluded little corner of the library where no one could hear them or see the porn she was reading, "Hey, Blake." Ruby grinned as she zoomed up behind the eagerly reading Faunus.
Blake shrieked and slammed the book shut, "R-Ruby?!"
"Hey~" She walked past her and plopped down on the chair across, "Good book?"
"What do you want?" Blake pursed her lips.
"Just checking in on a friend."
"We're friends now?"
Ruby frowned. They didn't talk much, she knew that, but ouch. Then again, she reminded herself, Blake was always a prickly girl. It took months for her to really get friendly with them...except for that one time she already had a small team RWBY flag on their second day.
She never did ask where she got it from...
"Of course we are." Ruby leaned back on the chair and crossed her right leg over her left, "So...how's it going?"
"...Fine?"
"Anything new going on?'
"Is this you trying to be subtle? Because if you want to ask me for information about you-know-what, you can just say so." Ruby almost rolled her eyes at that. Of course, she'd think it was about the White Fang. Blake was obsessed with them before they met up again at Haven. Then she just stopped mentioning them completely. It was actually kind of weird now that she thought about it, "I don't have any new information. If I did, you'd be the first to know."
"Cool, but that's not what I meant." Ruby huffed. Blake was always so dense about this stuff, "I mean anything new between you and Yang? If you know what I mean?" Ruby waggled her eyebrows.
"I...no, I have no idea what you mean."
Ruby huffed again, "You and Yang being more than partners. You know..." She clasped her hands together and made a smacking sound with her lips. Blake's face pinched like she just licked something sour, "Come on. I've seen the way you two look at each other."
"Yang isn't looking at me in any kind of way. She's too obsessed with being a 'proper lady'." Blake rolled her eyes, "Besides, does she even like girls? All I've heard her brag about are the guys she hooked up with at the clubs."
"Oh, she definitely likes girls. Trust me, I know."
"And how do you know I like girls?" Blake raised a brow.
"I have my sources." Ruby hummed, "You saying you don't?"
"I do, but the fact that you know that doesn't make me feel good." Blake sighed and set her book down, "Why are you trying to set me up with your sister?"
"Because you two would make a great couple!" Ruby said excitedly. She felt somewhat bitter that Blake and Yang had gotten their happy ending in the future while she, Weiss, Ren, Nora, and Oscar didn't. She lost Jaune, Weiss lost her sister, Ren was blinded by Tyrian, Nora was confined to a wheelchair, and Oscar...well, he wasn't even there by the time they stopped Salem. A part of her couldn't help but resent Ozpin for it even though she knew he hated it even more than she did. He'd gone off after the final battle without a word to any of them.
Still, for all her resentment and jealousy, she did still want the two of them to get together. They made each other so happy.
"And you're basing this on what exactly?" Blake looked distinctly unimpressed.
"Just trust me. You two will-"
"No." The singular word was harsh and cutting. Ruby found herself unable to speak as Blake glared at her, "I'm helping you stop my old group, but my love life - or lack thereof - is none of your concern. There are some things that are off-limits."
"But..." Ruby scrambled and tried to find the right words to say. She and Yang had to get together. They had to. Everyone deserved their happy endings, "Just...you two have so much in common!"
"Really? I like books, staying at home, and fighting for equality. Up until recently, Yang's idea of a good time was going out to nightclubs, getting in trouble, and riding her bike without a care for traffic laws. It seems like we have nothing in common."
"Well, you know what they say about opposites attracting!"
"You literally just talked about how we had so much in common." Blake gave her a flat look before she sighed, "Look, I can tell you're being sincere about this, but I'm just not interested in Yang. Or any kind of relationship. Not after..." She trailed off. Ruby didn't need to ask. She'd been scant on the details back in the past(?) with only Yang really knowing everything that went down. Still, Ruby knew that her relationship with Adam hurt her.
And that it was her relationship with Yang that built her back up again.
Blake grabbed her book and stood to leave, "W-Wait," Ruby cried. She hated how small and weak she sounded. Like she was actually a teenager again, "Wh-What about later? I know you need time to move on, but what about the future...?"
"You're really insistent on this." Blake sighed again and ran a hand through her hair, "I'll be honest, Ruby. Your sister...she's not really someone I think I can be interested in. She's a good partner and I can see her being a good friend, but as more than that? I have my doubts. We're just too different. I know what I want to do with my life, and it doesn't involve going around Remnant having a life of adventure. It'd take something big for me to even consider her someone I'd want to be with."
Ruby wanted to say something else. To argue, to convince Blake that she was making a mistake and letting her happy ending slip away from her grasp. Instead, she found herself dwelling on the other woman's words. Something big...her mind drifted to the obvious.
The Fall. It was the event that changed everything for them. They all lost something that day that they could never get back. A friend, a part of themselves...but it was also what allowed new bonds to form. She and Jaune grew to care for one another differently in their long months on the road to Anima. Blake and Yang realized just how much they truly meant to one another. Weiss realized that team RWBY was the family she'd wanted all along.
Without it, there was no catalyst. No realization that they cared for one another as more than just friends.
But...that meant she and Jaune-
NO! She shook her head and banished the thought away! They didn't need the Fall to realize they loved each other! They didn't! They were already besties before Cinder enacted her fucked up plan and they were besties now. No, they were more than that! They cuddled every night, she trained him, and even saved his life when that psycho Neo took him. They were more than just friends. They were practically lovers already. The only thing they hadn't done was seal the deal.
A smile blossomed on her face and she giggled. Right, she was being worried for nothing! Jaune and her were meant to be together, there was no way they weren't! In fact, she was going to prove it right now! She knew Weiss and Pyrrha would be out for a while. Pyrrha had another meeting with her agent and Weiss said she wanted to check out the quality of the Dust being sold around Vale. Those would take hours; enough time for her to prove what she already knew.
Ruby rushed back to their room and prepared everything. Lingerie? Check. Scented candles? Check. Collar? Oh, yeah! She licked her lips and giggled lewdly at the thought of what would come next. She'd been so patient. What was she waiting for, she wondered. Jaune obviously loved her too. Some part of him must've known they were destined to be together, she was sure of it. There were some things that just couldn't be erased.
She slipped into the enticing outfit and frowned slightly when she looked down at herself. She'd hit her major growth spurt during their journey to Anima. It was just a year away, but until then, she was stuck looking more cute than sexy.
Well, she could make do.
Ruby texted Jaune and jumped on top of their pushed-together beds. A few scattered rose petals (gotta keep the theme up!) and she was ready. Ruby lay down on her side and had to stop herself from vibrating with excitement as the seconds passed. This time it'd be better. There would be no more awkward fumbling, no worries about whether they'd survive the next day. Just pure, unbridled passion. She'd take the lead first, of course, but after a few sessions, she was sure he'd find his own footing.
The door opened. Ruby had to hold back from squealing as Jaune stepped inside and the door shut behind him automatically. He only managed two steps before he stopped and took in the scene in front of him. The dim lights, the candles, and his future wife practically begging him to ravish her. She didn't say anything; she didn't have to. Her eyes said it all. Ruby adjusted her position and made a come hither gesture, barely able to contain her exhilaration.
Jaune...turned around to leave.
...
What?!
Standing up in a panic, Ruby zoomed in front of him and looked up at Jaune in shock. His face was red and he refused to meet her eyes, "Jaune?" She put a hand on his chest. Instead of holding her hand or hugging her, he grabbed her wrist before it could make contact. It didn't hurt, but the implicit rejection made her heart ache, "Wh-What's wrong? Come on, let's-"
"No, Ruby." His voice was soft but firm. The words felt like a lance through her chest, "We're not doing this."
"Wh-Why not?" She hated how small and petulant she sounded. She'd lived through the end of the world, seen friends die right in front of her eyes, but right now, she felt so helpless. So weak, "D-Did I do something wrong? Was it the lingerie? Cause I have others-"
"That's not it!" She flinched like she'd been struck at the sudden shout, "This...all this!" He let go of her wrist and gestured to the room, "Y-You're trying to frame it as something romantic and sweet and it's not! You're blackmailing me!"
"I'm...what?" Ruby's head swirled. He thought she was blackmailing him?
"D-Don't play innocent! You've been stalking me for a while now! How else could you have known about my transcripts or Saphron and Terra? No one outside the family knows that! Heck, not even my family knows about the transcripts! It was only me! There was no way you'd know unless you were stalking me!"
"I..." She desperately wanted to explain, to tell him that he was misunderstanding things, but what could she say? That she'd come from a doomed future where the cost of victory against Salem was too high? That she hugged his burnt corpse till it grew cold in her arms? A part of her was tempted to explain it all, damn the consequences, but as she looked into his eyes, her body grew numb. He wouldn't believe her. He thought she was a crazy stalker threatening him and his family. If she told him everything, he'd just think was delusional on top of everything.
"So...if you're gonna expose me, then go ahead. Tell the headmaster about my transcripts. I...I'll deal with it. I won't be forced into this."
Forced...that's what he saw this as. A stalker forcing him into bed by holding his transcripts over his head. Ruby looked down at the ground, silver eyes empty. All those weeks she spent with him. The training, the dates...he only did it because he thought he had to. Because he thought he had a gun to his head.
Ruby wanted to scream, to cry, to break down. Instead, she walked past him and pulled her bed back to separate it from his. Jaune watched her with a wary look on his face. Ruby didn't look back or say a single word as she curled up under the blankets and lay there without a sound.
She was wrong. She hadn't gotten her happy ending.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yikes...Ruby is not having a good go of it. She thought she could have her happy ending exactly how she wanted it. Turns out, things aren't nearly that simple. Bumblebee is very likely a no-go and her aggressive behavior has only served to freak Jaune out.
Like I said, next chapter we'll get back to humor. Grim humor, sure, but the story will get lighter and lighter now that Ruby's been called out on her behavior and knows the way she's been acting isn't appropriate. So her future flirtatious behavior will be more respectful and reciprocal rather than her unintentionally terrifying Jaune.
Question:
1. Do you guys sympathize with Ruby this chapter? This chapter delves a lot more into her mindset and motivations. but others have been clamoring for her to get a wake-up call for a while now and might think she doesn't deserve any sympathy due to her behavior to Jaune and Yang.
Comments
Maybe I've been watching too much judgmental critter but I feel like this calls for another outfit change for poor Ruby A outfit that reflects her true battle hardened war vet self, now that her plan to woo Jaune has gone up in flames (at least for now).

2024-08-08 01:04:33 +0000 UTCIt was a dream. Jaune died the day after Ruby’s first time with him. The happy marriage is what she wishes happened.

2024-05-29 08:10:44 +0000 UTCMy only question is if the first "flashback" was real or a dream because if it was real that means that Ruby also lost a daughter and when did it happen, was it after they stop Salem from collecting the relics but before the final battle?.

2024-05-29 08:00:22 +0000 UTCI think I can see a bit of both sides here, Ruby has gone THROUGH it in the original timeline. She’s a battle-hardened huntress veteran at this point who’s experienced horrifying events and lost multiple people she’s loved. Her being just a little crazy and super obsessed with her happy ending isn’t much of a surprise. However, nobody else but Ruby herself knows that. So we can’t really blame anybody for thinking she’s just acting out (Yang) or a creepy stalker (Jaune). Nobody but us the readers who know all about her past can sympathize with her.
