I don't know if this is a weekend treat or just something I'm posting at the weekend! Ever since I posted Peering Down without alternative angles I've had requests to see more, or expressing some understandable disappointment at there not being any. I had another asking to see the full character. I have recently set up a little photobooth to do test shots of models so I took the opportunity to snap a shot and I hope by sharing these it shows why sometimes I don't do alt angles.
When a scene and a character is built specifically for one shot there's sometimes not much else to see. In this case I only worked on the face of the character, and her hair as it shades the city from the original camera angle. The skin material I used doesn't even have nipples, and the wide shot of the city shows that she is floating in a light filled void with a few buildings for company. The whole world isn't built out is for two reasons. Time making, and time rendering (even things you don't see affect the render time). This was a quick and effective setup and I don't want to get put off doing those because of a requirement to make alt angles. Now you see how the sausage was made!
