2024-07-16 00:05:32 +0000 UTCThanks for the chapter. It was rather enlightening. Now we know what makes Renatus special and it looks like him and Julia are likely to be the problem students for now. Him because he's got sticky fingers and is too clever for his own good and her because she seems a bit shallow and self-important. Probably thinks she too good to be there with a bunch of orphans and doesn't quite get how powerful Marcus is as he isn't playing to her expectations of what a great mage should look and act like, no matter what the academy told her. She'll probably get a shock when the other three students arrive and either barely see her as any better than the orphans due to their powerful backgrounds, or think she's an idiot for not getting how lucky she is to be a student of THE Marcus King. Also, I'm quite sure the kids feel he mentioned the bit about "dire centipedes" in the basement waaaaaaaay too casually.
