I stand by the sentiment I’ve made a couple times, but I think Vanessa is the movie’s version of Michael Afton, or at the very least shares a ton of qualities with him

I see folks say they really wanted Michael in the films, even theorizing still he’ll show up OR Mike will be revealed to actually be Michael Afton, and personally I feel these ideas kinda write off Vanessa completely. Vanessa is Michael, and a really good depiction of him at that. Her story is gripping, she’s fun and spunky but is deeply traumatized.

I actually think Michael was split into two, into both Mike and Vanessa, so they could cover two aspects of him. Mike reps the brother guilt, and the focus on his siblings. While Vanessa carries the who deal of being William Afton’s kid. I think this was a smart move cause even though it would have been cool to see Michael Afton on the big screen, he’s kinda a loaded character. It would have been a very different series if it was just about depicting him, one where the animatronics are only really a backdrop a good portion of the time.

I like comparing Vanessa and Michael cause they are the same to me, I think it’s almost cute, they’d understand one another really well. THIS comic was pretty fun to draw out, especially a tiny Michael before his bully era BAHAH Put it on record I’ll stick my neck out for Vanessa forever, I’ll hype her up when others won’t!! Anyway I hope you enjoy this comic!! 🩵💜
