These court episodes are so stressful

2025-05-10 20:47:32 +0000 UTCThis episode forever changed my opinion on Callie and I have never liked her again. Even in rewatches, I feel a seething anger when I see her. The fact that she would ever allow her lawyer to in any way dare to imply that Arizona is less of Sofia's mother because of biology makes me sick to my stomach. I have several family members I am not biologically related too and I would rip someone apart for daring to say they are not my family. On Arizona's side forever. Callie deserved to be cheated on and she deserved to lose custody.

I remember a lot of people talking about this in the context of the writers not knowing what was happening.

2025-05-03 10:25:45 +0000 UTCWill forever be on Arizona’s side with the custody battle. Thinking about it, I have to believe that Callie didn’t want another failed relationship on her belt, so she jumped at the idea of moving to New York with Penny, not even considering Sofia’s feelings and that to me is bad parenting in itself. A lot won’t agree, but her not thinking about what’s best for her own child just to satisfy herself with the one good relationship she has was a bit off to me.

2025-05-02 13:40:02 +0000 UTCCallie was so underhanded with her lawyers arguments. Where Arizona's lawyers arguments are, "does this significant other know Sophia and pay attention to what she should pay attention to?" or "The support system that you all have is here in Seattle". And that Arizona was selfless at the end, saying that Sophia will be healthy and well taken care of no matter who wins, but the child dying right now won't be without me. Like the ending monologue says, "the true mom would rather give her baby up, than see it ripped in two." Even Bailey switched sides after seeing that they were trying to make Arizona's success as a fetal surgeon be a problem, when there was never a problem with the support system they had.

2025-05-02 05:40:57 +0000 UTCI mean Mark would have ABSOLUTELY been on Arizona’s side in the court battle and would have fought tooth and nail alongside her so their daughter would have stability and be close to them

2025-05-02 02:37:45 +0000 UTCI always think it’s worth mentioning when this storyline comes up that Callie was planning on taking her daughter not only away from her home/mother, but taking her away from a place that reminds her of her dad and is the only place in the world that she spent time with him when he was alive )):
