We saw this map as a passing point for those adventurers with enough gold in their purse to take a shortcut. Perhaps it could also be used as a safe haven of sorts. A small, well stocked castle with enough guards to hold back the most dangerous of monsters and enough food to keep the entire staff fed well through the winter.
If your players have a tedious journey which will take weeks of trekking ahead. Maybe this could be a planned stop off point along the way to rest, recuperate and maybe even meet some new significant characters. It could be used similarly to Rivendell being 'The Last Homely House' for the Fellowship during The Lord of the Rings.
We're excited to hear how you all plan on using this map and we really hope you enjoy the 3 floors of interiors too!

I love the layout of this castle, but I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to best apply light-blocking walls and one-way walls in Roll20 because it has so many split levels. One thing that might help is if the rooftops were also available as a tile layer.
