Because of this, I am now running a bit behind the schedule I had in mind, so it might be difficult to meet every date I originally planned.
Even so, I am putting a lot of effort into this month. I have had some very lazy months before, but right now I feel like I am finally delivering art at a good pace and with acceptable quality.
The main reason this illustration took so much time is that I struggle to keep things simple. I promised myself I would focus on simple pin-ups with white backgrounds to speed up the workflow, but I always end up adding more details and extra work. After finishing this illustration I felt a bit burnt out, so you will probably see more white-background pin-ups for a while.
If you are curious, the total working time for this piece was 12 hours and 17 minutes. Definitely too much.
For the rest of this month, I will try to focus on pieces that I can finish in no more than five hours.

Mari is one of my favorite characters from BuruAka, and I really wanted to do justice to her latex outfit. It was incredibly hard to draw, but I did my best.
