A Date with Riley (Preview)

I haven’t worked on my animation for a year … Some of you know that I wasn’t doing so well last summer, but things are finally starting to look up. Also, I believe I got a little carried away with this animation project too: Riley is speaking to us for the first time and I had to write a script, prepare the voiceovers, animate lip sync for the first time and use a few other techniques I’ve never tried before.
The good news is: I’ve switched to a new render engine, which meant I had to re-light the entire scene – but now exports are way faster. So I can already share a pretty advanced preview with you. It’s still low-res, but the final lighting and colors are all there – and I’m really happy with how it’s turning out. :)
Once the last few keyframes are done, I’ll record some original music, as usual. I know I’ve been quiet for a while, but I don’t want to rush this unnecessarily.
Not much longer now – and then you’ll get to join Riley on a truly terrible date!
