Proof of Life #285: Rose leaves the manor, the Duke follows her
Added 2025-08-18 20:56:25 +0000 UTCHello, you beautiful people (and those less beautiful too, no discrimination here), howβs it going in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Another Monday, another PoL, another progress report on the state of HC3.
So, this week has been more productive than the last. Iβve finished and tested Roseβs first scene, all the events with the maids, and a bunch more stuff. Iβve also finished and entirely tested the second story segment between the first and second scene, and I have spent most of my weekend focusing on Roseβs second scene, on which you can see a snippet of in the screenshot above. It was mostly planning and sending out commissions though.
This one will have a bunch of custom animations, as with most scenes thus far, and a bunch of people joining in. Leto will even make an appearance, although I wonβt spoil much more than that. No, he wonβt be directly involved because, even with that mask on, heβd recognize Rose right away. Weβre not quite at that point in the story (yet). Iβm also trying to strike a healthy balance of the girls being lead around by their antagonist, but also being proactive.
I think this update will end up slightly lighter on the scenes. Not that much though. Instead of 3 scenes, weβre getting 2 scenes and a half (Roseβs first scene is smaller in length) + the usual extra scene. That way, I can dedicate more time to the side stories that I havenβt progressed at all in the last update.

I will actually be using MZ, as MV is the current engine I'm using right now. I'm not sure if that was a typo or a mistake, but I have already bought MZ a while ago (you need to have bought it if you want to use any of its resources even in other engines). Still, I appreciate you letting me know about the bundle, although I haven't been able to find any RPG Maker-related bundle on humble bundle. Is it under a particular name or something?

I'll see if I can add a choice somewhere though. Also, once again I need to remain vague, but the mask in this situation will serve a different purpose than the scenes you're probably used to.
