As much as I like your animated character design, I feel like your style would greatly benefit adding more realism, especially with the faces and hair. Bodies in general are all very subjective, but it's the faces and their expressions that help us relate to the characters.

I really like your regular style but this is really good too, the extra detail makes it look more life like and probably helps a lot of people feel more relatable to the image. I think the two styles are so different that they both serve a valuable purpose.
