When ever you get the chance the headspace to watch another war film. Going to suggest one of the best "We Were Soldiers" Mel Gibson directed Hacksaw Ridge, and his role in We Were Soldiers is what inspired him to direct this movie.

2024-08-16 19:49:06 +0000 UTCThis is a great movie, but I'm not even sure it's in my top 5 of war/army movies, which seems weird to say but I believe it's true, three things I think you should watch are Band of Brothers and The Pacific, both produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, and We Were Soliders with Mel Gibson, those are my top three and they would be extremely hard to watch like this one, but I think worth it!

I love the humbleness of the real Desmond Doss and that Mel Gibson (this time directing) had to decrease Desmond's true achievements and what he did on Hacksaw as he thought it wouldn't be believed. One of my favourite war movies I like to watch to be reminded of true bravery and that it comes in all shapes and sizes. What's the next great movie you'll be reacting to Stef? 😀
