Time for another Patreon Pick.

Update: New information in the comment sections, continue engaging to see what goes up on the poll.

Hello Everyone,

It's Havits here, Stef is ready to start selecting the next Patreon Pick films as we look ahead at the schedule. First, a little update on things.

We hope that everyone has been satisfied with the the amount of content that has been coming out the last 6 weeks. Stef and I have been working really hard to make sure content is dropping consistently and making sure we get a head of things to drop more videos before they hit youtube. GOT has pretty much been 5-6 episodes ahead of youtube, and we've even been able to drop MCU films a couple weeks before they air on youtube. This is all in an effort to make you, our biggest supporters are getting the content you want as soon as possible.

As you know, Stef is moving into her own apartment this upcoming month. She is very nervous and excited to start this new journey and thanks you all for the help she's been getting from every single one of you. As far as the schedule, we should be able to stay consistent with content since she is cranking out a lot of videos before her move and I will be spreading the drop times out so that there isn't an extended gap in this process. We just ask for a bit of patience while she gets settled in the next couple weeks if there is a bit of a wait. As usual, thank you all for the positive words and support, it means the world to Stef and she loves reading all your comments.

I also have a bunch of ideas for once Stef is settled in her new place that will introduce new perks for all of you in the future. Along with revamping our discord and getting you all involved in the growth and content of the channel, I'm hoping we can start introducing exclusive live streams, more movie nights, and even game nights with the community. So look forward to that in the future.

Now lets get to the Patreon Picks!

Last films that missed the cut:

-Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut)

-Parasite

-Million Dollar Baby

-Master and Commander

(The idea is that eventually we will get to every movie suggested so if there is still demand for these films they will get grandfathered into the next poll)

However, I want to find 4 more films that you really want to Stef to see to be added to the poll, and if there are more than 4 than we will adjust based on that popularity. Everyone Suggest a few films, hit likes on suggestions you like, even comment and talk about the films you want to see. I'm taking all forms of engagement into account when picking the next films.

As a personal Editor pick, I'd like to suggest The Mummy and The Mummy Returns as a package. (will count as 1 film ) as a fun action adventure for Stef. I know some will ask why not the third film, I just don't want to add a bunch of films, and the first two films actually have a more cohesive story together as opposed to the third film that came out much later and don't have all the original actors. Although if she enjoys the first two, we can add the third down the road for fun.

Anyway, let us know what you all think. Happy Discussions!

So long as it's the Director's Cut, then the Kingdom of Heaven sounds like a superb idea; and The Mummy (1999) would be smashing too (if Stef's nerves could take it).

Gary Slator

Indeed. I would say that the theatrical version left the film just a war movie, but the Director's Cut elevates it altogether into something finer.

Gary Slator

Peaky Blinders

official Gaming

Completely understand her desire to avoid movies with such scenes.

Kantanshi

Quigly Down Under is a great movie

Kantanshi

I agree with Dead Poet's Society, Edge of Tomorrow and The Fifth Element

Alex Ocean

Gervais top shelf.

Scorpius

I think I mentioned she would be bored by it..lol Dune that is. Heck I fell asleep in the middle of it.

Scorpius

This is the one with Orlando Bloom right? Most excellent movie.

Scorpius

I second Black Sails!

David Collins

I would love to have an excuse to watch the Director’s Cut.

Uncle Phoenix

Awesome I'll need to check out Stefs reaction to it 🙂

Mr Music Addict

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN could be the best war movie, and best overall movie, that Ridley Scott has made .. .. It would make for a terrific history lesson .. ..

Sam Nishi Saisho

Your in luck she has already reacted to The Last Samurai.

Scott Lindsey

Braveheart, We Were Soldiers, The Matrix 1-3, The Godfather 1-3, Blade, Jurassic Park, Black Hawk Down. Also I know you didn’t ask for series, but just in case, I recommend: Peaky Blinders, Band of Brothers, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Black Sails.

Joshua Chavoya

READY PLAYER ONE (2018 film)

Will Castillo

Fury I am legend

J’aurda

Rocky (1976) and so on

L3MONz

Understandable. It is not time critical either I think. What I mean is if these were brand spanking new movies, one could argue that adding them to the calendar is beneficial for channel growth purposes. But the hype around them has calmed down now so she can watch them whenever.

Hans Engelen

Up Wall-E Atlantis: The Lost Empire Dinosaur (2000) Treasure Planet John Wick 1-4 ( Action Packed)

Marquise Woody

Finding Forrester is a horrifically overlooked masterpiece.

David Collins

I always forget Equilibrium too - fantastic movie. And it has Christian Bale. I think Stef will be just fine with it.

David Collins

Bourne and Riddick movies are great suggestions! John Wick movies are great, she'll need to get around to them eventually, but I need that series to cool off for a while before I re-watch them. :D

David Collins

Yes, Havits, we need a list of movies she's already seen.

Will Castillo

The Painted Veil (2006) 25th Hour (2002) Primal Fear (1996) The Illusionist (2006)

Chase

I second Hachi & Marley and Me

Predi

A Monster Calls (2016) A very good movie that far too few people have seen. Probably wont make it to the poll but i recommend everyone here to watch the movie. Then maybe one day it will be selected.

Predi

The Guardian - 2006

Alex B

Yeah, I would even go so far as to include the Jet Li movie. But that's because imho he is undervalued too and I was shocked to learn of his illness.

Hans Engelen

Oh I forgot about Equilibrium, might not quite be in Stefs comfort zone but it is most definitely a painfully underrated movie. And it has Sean Bean :)

Hans Engelen

Havits: For someone that asked, Once I see what's getting talked about the most, I will make a poll of 8 films, 4 new films and 4 films that missed the cut in the last poll. you will all get 4 votes. Right now, it's looking like Heat is a lock in, we'll see what else.

Stef Solari

Quick Update From Havits: For those that have suggested it, Catch me if you can, and The Last Samurai has been watched. Brings up a good point that I should make a letterbox account for Stef. I will work on that. -Stef has seen Dune from when I last talked to her, but she mentioned falling asleep in the theatre so idk if she's really seen it all. she said she was really tired when she went to see it, this is pre reaction channel. She has also seen the Jurassic Park films. -Films like Gran Torino, and End of Watch ( which has been suggested before) are a no go. Stef has told me that she can't really watch films that show women getting SA'd or heavily assaulted in general. I know they are scenes that come and go, but it's something that really makes her uncomfortable, which is even why there was a lot of hesitation about starting GOT in the first place. These films in particular have specific shots that wouldn't be good for her to react to. I hope everyone understands.

Stef Solari

Finding Forrester Road to Perdition Rear Window Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Jason Q

The Last Samurai, Bicentennial Man and Phenomenon I forgot to mention before. If it's animated movies you can't go past the classics of The Lion King, The Land Before Time, All Dogs go to Heaven, Iron Giant and the more recent Up and Big Hero 6 😀

American gangster (2007) and zero dark thirty (2012)

Being John Malkovich (1999) - going into this blind, what a treat Yesterday (2019)

Im with David on this one. The ones I would give a like to is American History X, Man on Fire and Schindler’s List :) But all good suggestions

Jgeir

War Horse (2011, Steven Spielberg)

tasty_coffee85

I second these!🙌🏼 A good mix of genres🍿

Jgeir

Limitless is such a fun and thrilling movie! Bradley Cooper really do it well in that one.

Jgeir

Good suggestions. My fav is Man on Fire! Denzel Washington’s acting is amazing. Really like him in the Equalizer movies as well

Jgeir

BRAVEHEART (1995 film)

Will Castillo

Let me add mine too, just to make the Life of Havits easier. - Bourne Trilogy (the ones with Matt Damon anyways) - Dune 1/2 (the new ones) - Pitch Black + The Riddick movies - The Matrix (all but the last one) - John Wick movies - and I suppose I could say The Fast and Furious line too. Although I must admit I am not sure this would be something that Stef would like. Who knows though. Alas all of these are movies with sequels. Just think they are for good reasons ...

Hans Engelen

GIFTED (2017 film)

Will Castillo

PEPPERMINT (2018 film)

Will Castillo

LUCY (2014 film)

Will Castillo

I'll put it on my to-do list then.

Hans Engelen

I have tons of movies I could suggest, but I'll keep it to just three, and three that have already been suggested in this thread. Heat - one of the greatest crime thriller / heist movies ever made. Pacino and DeNiro. Nuff said. Man On Fire - The chemistry between Denzel Washington and young Dakota Fanning alone is worth watching this movie for, but it's an amazing story on top of it. The Count of Monte Cristo - This movie rivals the Lord of the Rings trilogy in terms of how well a classic book was translated to the screen. Alexandre Dumas was a magnificent writer and it's a joy to watch the crown jewel of his literary work unfold on screen.

David Collins

Hans, you need to see Heat. If you can't remember if you've seen it, then you probably haven't.

David Collins

Schindler's List, Heat and Man on Fire are great suggestions. Several others are great movies, and probably would be great reactions too, if Stef hasn't seen them. But too many on your list that I can't personally get behind to give the entire list a like.

David Collins

Oppenheimer The Matrix V for Vendetta Ford vs Ferrari Cinderella Man Into the Spider-Verse Man of Steel Bourne Trilogy Limitless

Curtis

Shutter Island is a great idea

Avocadorable

How to train you dragon triology is a must watch if you haven't seen it yet :D

Harold

Dune(2021)/Dune Part 2(2024), Braveheart(1995) and Fury(2014).

IMSO

I second Dune and the Bourne idea. Can't remember if I ever saw Heat though ... so that one I will pass on I guess.

Hans Engelen

Joker The hangover 1917 superbad

Yomlata Assefa

The 2005 War of the Worlds or the Peter Jackson King Kong would be great.

RX-1

Heat, Dune and Jason Bourne would be cool

Luis Hernandez

How are they chosen? Dont do polls?

Miguel

I don't know if this is already happening, but with her watching the MCU and Deadpool and Wolverine coming out. I really hope the X Men movies (Original Trilogy, New Timeline Quadrilogy, The Wolverine, Logan, Deadpool 1 & 2) get watched some day.

Wolf

Gran Torino would be nice

Avocadorable

I really enjoy when Stef gets to react to movies that don’t have a lot of other reactions. - The 13th Warrior - The Man From Snowy River - Absolute Power - Quigly Down Under

Uncle Phoenix

Agree on "Million Dollar Baby". It deserved the multiple awards it won. It's another movie I watched not knowing anything about it other than who directed.

ButtercupsTrueLove

Keep up the awesome work guys, love the channel! Vanilla Sky Heat The Departed Fight Club

Cbt87

- Heat (1995) - The Island (2005) - Dead Poets Society (1989) - Dune 2 (2024)... Dune first if she hasn't seen it - Edge of Tomorrow (2014) - The Fifth Element (1997) - The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)

Mawk

I am also in the middle of moving to a new place and it sucks the life out of me xD Luckily I have Stef’s reactions to look forward to😁 Im sorry if she have already seen any of these, but I would like to suggest Superbad (2007) and The Hangover (2009)

Jgeir

LaLa Land or Silver Linings Playbook!

Alex Ocean

Million Dollar Baby is such a great movie, she will love that one. And Gran Torino if she haven't seen that yet, I don't remember. But to suggest another one, The World's Fastest Indian. Great feel-good movie with Anthony Hopkins and based on a true story. Not many people know about it.
