What I loved about this film is how it’s such a slow burn, with so much buildup and anticipation. As someone who doesn’t usually watch older films, I’ve really come to appreciate them—especially in the horror genre, which is one of my favorites.
One of the best classes I took in college was a horror film class where we dove into cinematography—studying production, camera angles, lighting, and all that good stuff. I think that’s where I really fell in love with movies. It’s always so exciting to apply what I learned in that class to the films I watch now.
But I digress—this has definitely become one of my favorite holiday horror films. It’s unsettling but somehow also feels oddly cozy, hahaha. I love the tropes and how we get the antagonist’s point of view. The whole time, I was figuratively on the edge of my seat.
