Phew | An update

Opening this update post with two of my favourite panels that I drew myself from the storyboards of chapter 13. The base of this storyboard is done by Daniela Konno. We had to find each other first, so chapter 13 is a wild mix of our drawings, haha. But she did a great job ♥

Ok, so I thought I could do lots of things at once, but I have to admit that it doesn't work out. Everyone who runs a Kickstarter tells you that it eats up your time. While it didn't feel like eating my time, I now ask myself "Well, what the heck did I do the past 7 months?!"

Sooo, yeah. Who would have thought. Remember that I wanted to start working on a new comic project this year? I did do some concept work for it, mainly a bit of plotting and drawing test panels, but I didn't get further.

Anyways, stop the whining, Lisa. I was actually quite happy this year. I really enjoyed the summer, and I was in a good mood a lot of the time. I didn't draw much, and I want to change that. That means cutting down on other things. I might do one Kickstarter next year to get book 3+4 out to you, but 1 KS/year is more than enough.

- tabling at the CMC Münster on April 15th (yay!) -> done
- reopening my shop -> done
- tabling at the CC Stuttgart in November -> still to come
- finally, finally, finally starting to work on a new comic project -> uh, baby steps 👶

And a very maybe is doing a Kickstarter for G&G v2 (English). -> in progress!

- G&G ch13 (storyboards) on Patreon (for the $5-tier)
- finish a series of school book illustrations (for my repeat client)
- tabling at the CC Stuttgart in November
- establish a drawing routine, make it a sacred time of the day (~30min-1h every morning)

Does that mean you won't get new G&G pages soon?

Yeah. I want to be transparent here.
I really, really want to do that new comic project before I start working on G&G again. It's so important to me that I don't want to sabotage myself again by doing what's easy in order to avoid what's hard.

G&G will still continue though! I understand if you adjust your pledges if you're here for more G&G pages. No hard feelings. I'm grateful for everyone who stays for a while longer. Patreon is still my main source of income. Thank you so much, I sometimes realise how special it is to be able to live off an income from comics and a fanbase. ♥🥲
