Welcome back to Swift Guitar Lessons for another beginner guitar tutorial. As a young guitarist, I found the repetitive practice of scales and traditional exercises to be tedious and uninspiring. To break up the monotony, I began using the main riffs of classic songs to develop my fundamentals and facilitate more entertaining practice sessions.
As a child of the late 80's/early 90's, I was always able to find fun and inspiring riffs within Kurt Cobain's catalog, so today I would like to share with you five iconic Nirvana riffs that helped me reach the intermediate level. As a bonus, I'll also introduce you to the effect pedals that gave Kurt his signature "grunge" sound. Let's get started!
