Love this E rooted shapes lesson. (Yet) … Those of us w/ the smaller hands can’t get that thumb on the E string baser note for major/consonant jazz-blues A9. Oh foo!

nice! the C# and D dominant 7 are not in the key of A so I guess you should have explained that as a substitution

Thank you so much for introducing me to these shapes, I started learning a couple of years ago and have mostly glossed over this area. Your great way of presenting and the Jazz Chord melody have really hit the mark. I'm trying not to get frustrated with picking up the idea of Major 7, Dominant 7, Minor 7, 1/2 Diminished and Diminished 7 as I figure things on my own. I'm trying to apply concepts to Frank Sinatra's version of "I've Got You Under My Skin". So much fun, stay safe and healthy.

Great lesson, Rob. I particularly like the tip to mute the A and high E strings in most of these examples.
