Paul Simon "American Tune" Fingerstyle Guitar Lesson | Part 2

Hello friends,

After several days of technical difficulties, I've finally completed my breakdown of Paul Simon's 1973 classic "American Tune."  In this session we'll be learning the fingerstyle  techniques for the bridge, third verse, and outro sections. Let's get started!

This is a great song. I tried to get a 150 voice chorale I was with to do it. Unfortunately the director didn't like the tune. But I still love it to pieces. Thank you and stay safe.

These two lessons are fabulous, Rob. Your instruction plus these exceptional pdfs with the score and the lyrics set you apart from everyone teaching in this format. Add to that the digital presentation of the song as sung/recorded is incredible. I am so grateful for you, have been from the beginning. Each year you take things to another level...all for the love of music and its powers. Thank you so much.

As questions of inequality and injustice in America are more at the forefront than they've been in 50 years, I feel this song now as nod to BLM and the quest for a kinder, more equal America. Beautifully played. Thank you.
