Yes streams are members only, and then a month later I post a public video for everyone! So March 15th for Unpacking.

Mapocolops

Hi Mapo, say, is Unpacking exclusive to Youtube members?

Tom Wlodarczyk

You're the only person I subscribe to on here, so I'll stick around as long as you do! Hopefully it's just a slight hiccup in the algorithm. I know you probably want to produce some insane over-the-top content for the game awards, but remember, most of us are here because we know how much you care about games and you take the time to do things right. Whether it's reading every single lore entry in Mass Effect, checking every little nook and cranny in Expedition 33, or talking to us about your love for Final Fantasy; that's why we watch. While it sucks that you're not making Ninja/xQc money, you definitely care more about it, and that means something to those of us who were lucky enough to find you.

cant go a day without your videos keep it up

Order1908

If you plan making videos until you ficking 90, I’m keeping my Patreon subscription until I fucking 90. There is no other way. You are the only creator I feel compelled to support. I watch your playthroughs for games I play. It now became a tradition. Hopefully, eventually I’ll watch them all. Keep it up! Can’t wait for another Mapocolops Awards. Thank you for putting all the effort. Those one are truly special.

Andy Mosquitos

Mapo, if you are still making videos at 90, then I will still be watching at 90.

Mark Davie

I got this message three times in my email and I love it!

Jumbo Mumbo

For what its worth, a month back I realized I never watched your Soma playthrough, so I watched that. And currently doing a rewatch of Kotor 1 and 2 (Which quite a few people are doing judging from the comments) Nevertheless, I love your channel so much that I have an annual subscription set up for years now, and that will not change anytime soon! Much love and hang in there <3

Felix645

You are the gaming literary critic this world needs in a time filled with rage bait and shallow takes. keep doing your thing. i will stream some playthroughs i haven't gotten to on my end.

Adam Garcia

Long time viewer (since Mass Effect 1), first time Patreon subscriber FOR your Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition content. You picking it up encouraged me to go back and continue my playthrough I started a couple years back. Keep up the great work! I know there's always something in your back catalog I'll enjoy even if Yakuza isn't quite my thing.

Robert

Your stuff is great! Im personally always loving your Resident evil, Soulsbourne, and Dragonage content, but you’ve got something for everyone. My fingers are crossed you’ll delve into the Witcher because as a lore / writing guy i think you’d be absolutely enthralled, but either way, ill be watching!

Jared Blando

For what it's worth Mapo, if your current game isn't for me I'm always watching something else from your back library. That said I'm absolutely locked in to Baldur's Gate on whatever schedule you release it. Thank you for playing it because I'll never play it myself, but I want the lore and to watch you do your thing. You're the best!

Simone Seguin

You have outlasted every single streaming service I had. I've cut the cords on every single HBO/Hulu/Prime/etc. sub, this Patreon remains. Keep up the awesome content, the passion shines through!

Josh W

I'm really excited for your game awards but it's ok if you take your time! And yeah, I'm one of those who isn't watching the Baldur's Gate and Yakuza playthroughs because BG1 doesn't really fall in my interests and I'm planning on playing the Yakuza series myself eventually, I'll be looking forward to whatever comes next, and I don't mind keeping my patreon sub on in the meantime. I think I'm gonna watch your journey through the Resident Evil series next lol

YouTube is a really competitive space and a mystery as to what catches and what doesn’t. I have to imagine it is often very stressful to run your business through it. I have a stupid idea, but I think stupid ideas are often the basis of great ones. I was thinking that at the end of a let’s play, instead of including your thoughts in the video, there is a separate “review” video. The idea being that it is an expansion of offerings provided by the channel that can appeal to a broader audience. Then there is a natural synergy that the review viewer can actually watch the let’s play on which the review is based. I have to imagine that reviews reach a broader audience and could be a good way to advertise for the core let’s play content. I also think that public polls as a way to better understand viewership are underutilized. If there is a question that helps to figure out which among several possible games has the best potential for higher viewership, I would want to ask that question These are probably not the exact right answers. I do have the opportunity to discuss strategy with businesses for work and it’s always a conversation. So just spitballing some ideas that have crossed my mind. It’s all from a desire to see the channel do well.

Dave

I personally don't mind simplistic Awards videos, but I understand that you wanna show off your creativity and desire to entertain your viewers. Was getting worried that you are working too much, recording two potentially long games + Awards preparation + weekly Game Day streams. Glad to hear you are going to pace yourself, we will always have something to watch. People who moan about you not providing what they want, shouldn't make you feel guilty. Their fault they don't have a better idea on how to spend their free time, they don't deserve your spent neurons. If the break is long enough, I might finally finish watching your Legacy of Kain and Metro Exodus LPs.

Cerebromanic

Mapo, I just wanna say how much I appreciate your channel and the community here as a whole. You put out content I don't get anywhere else because of the love and care you put into your thought process and how you communicate your ideas. I also love how you critically engage with EVERYTHING you play. Puts you way ahead of others for reasons why I prefer to watch you specifically go through a series. Anyway, I hope there are decades still to come from you on the channel, and that you keep putting out content you're happy with. I know it's so easy to get lost in seeing trend setting channels get big numbers. But honestly, I feel like this channel has more longevity, and in the years to come that's really gonna pay off. Keep doing what you do, and being all around awesome. We love you dude.

T1ME

Keep up the awesome work! I regularly rewatch your playthroughs of some of my favorite games as I love your style of commenting and playing. Hopefully more people will find your channel in 2026, you thoroughly deserve it!

From reading this anybody would be able to tell just how much this means to you, the passion always shines through in what you do Mapo! The time you give each game and video to make sure they are the best they can be - it’s just unmatched. I know it’s easier said than done but try to not be too hard on yourself mate. I guess it feels with a lower view count sometimes that the effort isn’t being rewarded, just try not to lose sight of all the viewers who do care in this great community you’ve helped foster. I’m looking forward to the Game Awards show because I know whatever the budget is it will ultimately be a long video (longer than most view chasing “lets players anyway) made by a guy who cares a great amount. And that for me, and so many, is so so important. I may not be able to support on here every month, but when I can it’s such a great thing to be a part of. Most people wouldn’t leave a comment as long as these you see on this post for most creators either - so just take a deep breath and try to love yourself as much as the passion project and recognise how awesome you are my dude! ❤️

Josh Tiley

Mapo! Don't be hard on yourself! For your game awards, people are perfectly happy with lists without crazy production so don't stress. I am glad that you stay true to yourself even if the trends are against you. YouTube told me I was in your top 0.9% of viewers last year so hopefully I am doing my part haha. Maybe also encourage people to click the "hype" button which supposedly pushes the video to more people. I wonder also since YouTube loves shorts if posting shorts of clips of your funny reactions would help get more eyes?

Jessie Kalish

Funnily enough, I am currently going through your Mass Effect playthrough, so I guess I am already pumping the algorithm. But I get it, it is not easy, and it can take a toll on mental health. I still believe you are one of the most thoughtful video game streamers out there, so don’t lose faith. I am certainly not going anywhere. If you want something that could lush view upwards, you may consider Dispatch. I know everyone and their mother are playing it, but I believe you will truly enjoy it, it was a very nice surprise for me. Besides, it is a short one, no more than 9-10 hours. If you are into more strategy-oriented games, yet with plenty of charm, Mewgenics is the one to go for, it is a cat-breeding tactical combat game (yes, quite weird, but amazing). Anyway, don’t lose hope, it often looks much worse than it actually is, and your passion is what really matters.

Zhivko Yakimov

I think you do put a lot of pressure on yourself. Understandably so, but please don't be too hard on yourself. There are so many videos on your channel, so everybody complaining about you not playing their fave next can just.. watch some of the backlog. It's amazing that you are so passionate about games and that is definitely one of the reasons you resonate with so many people. It sucks that the algorithm is what it is but we will stay here, supporting you through the rough patches and also the hype times. :D sending you lots of motivation! 🫶

Mapo, I love the channel for what it is and the biggest draw to me is seeing someone go into one of those games I really loved and play it with fresh eyes. I will always be here for that content. But that said, if you want to grow the channel and reach some extra people then perhaps consider once every 2 months or so as a new "big" game is releasing to pause your playthroughs that are going on to dedicate livestreaming a week to whatever that big new game is regardless of its genre and then edit the livestreams down to a handful of hour long videos. Something like Marathon that is coming out next month. I dont have the slightest interest in it, but Id watch you play it for a bit, and it is going to be huge for a week while streamers play and people watch and then die off. Or when the new Diablo 4 expansion is about to drop, maybe play D4 the week before and start a new character and go through the original campaign and get to maximum level, and then play the next week on your character for the new expansion. I know that isnt really what the channel is about, but new, big games dont release constantly so something that only really takes a small bit of time away every couple of months in order to bring in some new viewers would be perfectly acceptable to your current viewers IMO. And who knows, maybe we will find some game that we werent interested in but ends up looking fun as well. Some games coming out to consider playing at their release for viewership: Marathon (yes I know it is not your typical game), Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (remake of the original game), 007: First Light, Fable, Grand Theft Auto VI

I’m so glad to read that you’re where you want to be - as long as you keep making I’ll keep watching! I’ve been working my way through your Elden Ring playthrough over several months and it’s such a fun time to re-experience that game through your playthrough. Super keen to start Baldur’s Gate - I’ve been saving that one for an upcoming tattoo day, but now realize that’s probably hurting the numbers. It will go on in the background immediately lol

Tina Carter

Keep up your excellent work. Im gonna be here for years to come and gonna do what i can to get that stupid algorythm where it should be; to you
