Failing Adelina’s quest is a shame, but that’s what new game plus is for I guess. A good rule of thumb for Lies of P is to finish npc quests before the upcoming boss is defeated. Cecile’s side quest in the church is the same as killing the Archbishop also locks you out of finishing her quest
