Big Boss Tier Poll Feedback Needed!

Hey all, I wish to ask a question to this tier about the frequency of the polls. In the past, how this has worked is that when I have time coming up for a new Let's Play, we'll do a vote for the next game. Sometimes this doesn't occur as I'll spontaneously choose some games to play like Blasphemous, Armored Core, Yakuza 0 etc. instead of having them be at the mercy of a vote. So sometimes, we don't have a poll for quite some time.

With that in mind, I'm asking this question:
Would you prefer one dedicated poll each month, even if that meant you wouldn't see the game for quite some time?

It would possibly create a backlog of poll voted games, that would be played when the space and time is available to do so, but would allow for more consistent polls.
At the moment I am just brainstorming but seeking community feedback on this idea.

It's more fun for us if you're having fun, too. It's best to keep open the possibility of you picking a game you really wanna play or a game you need as a palette cleanser for when things get stale for ya.

No need to overburden yourself with a backlog that you may never have the time to get down to. Also, it will be less pressure on what to play. After all, the goal is for you to enjoy this, because when you have fun playing, we have fun watching, it is as simple as that.

I like the way it is. If it changed I would say maybe one of the games you are playing is a Patreon voted game. Then when it’s almost done you hold another poll. If it’s time based it will get messy. Some games are over in a couple weeks and some take six months. Even other types of polls or questions are fun. Like if you are deciding between two games or want to know what genre you should play next.

Really don't mind the spontaneity - it's great getting surprised every so often, but if a bit of consistency will help you, by all means you should look at the monthly thing.

100% this. While these are all games Mapo wants to play at some point, if there's a secondary list of Patreon voted games it could definitely create this sense of obligation. "I really want to play this next, but there are 4 games from previous polls I haven't gotten to yet..." I'd prize the freedom and flexibility over putting yourself in that position. I suppose it's not too different to eventually getting around to games that have lost polls (Yakuza!), but I appreciate the passion and, to an extent, the surprise factor of seeing what games Mapo is feeling. I feel like it'd be easier for some people to check out if they can see "their" choice is further down the list and won't be coming for X number of months, which would be a shame. So many great and unknown gems that'd be missed!

I feel like the only reason to add more polls would be to maybe create a vote for which games will appear in the actual poll for the next Let’s Play whenever that time comes (which I wouldn’t be against).

I think its fine the way it is even if I don't always undertand when and what you decide to poll. Plus I don't think I've ever picked a winner so I'm best hoping you randomly decide to play anything I like 😂

I like how they are right now. This gives you the opportunity to play games when *you* want to. A huge part of why I love your videos is because you are so passionate about them. So i think the way it is now is the way to go. Having a backlog of voted games might take the space of a passion-chosen-game if you know what I mean. 👀 Also for example I wouldn't have chosen yakuza 0 if it were up for a poll cause I haven't played the games, yet they are so fun to watch!

Maybe not monthly (that sounds like too much work), maybe 4 polls per year.

Honestly fine either way, but the concept of a “coming soon, as voted by you” list could be promising from a marketing perspective. 🤔

I would prefer more polls, just to be more consistent. Hopefully it doesn't create a backlog on top of your backlog but at least it will give us something to look forward to knowing what could be coming up

Kuso

I'm going to vote to keep it as it is, but I don't feel super strongly either way.
