The Eclipse | Episode 4

The Eclipse | Episode 4

Hey Gemini! I’m a few episodes ahead now, and I slowly started piecing it together. Each episode helped me understand the plot a bit better and honestly, I’m kind of laughing at myself that it took me this long to get it, but like you said, I was way too stuck on thinking the curse was completely literal!

it is also in Wandee Goodday! I came here to comment about P'Golf too, but you beat me too it hehe

Fabi I feel as though curse is a distraction opposed to the actual plot. The plot itself is more revolving around Teacher Dika, and him unaliving himself along with the outdated principles school has. Along with pressure that’s put upon student but not only the students but the prefects in attempts to uphold certain standards, and values. While highlighting how & who’s affected by it. Not to mention blatant LGBTQ representation, touch on mental health, and homophobia surrounding everything. I think that the idea of the curse is just a small part of the plot. I think that the idea of there being a curse had stunned you a bit in the first few episodes from fully understanding what’s going on, Which is why you were relying to Dynamics between the lead couple more than actually enjoying the plot. This series is actually very deep and intentional. Just by observation we can see that the “curse” is only targeting a particular group of people. Just within these first 4 episodes, and within that narrative alone we know the curse isn’t the actual issue & there’s a much bigger point to the story than it just being a “supernatural curse”. Also without giving anything away what I will say is that in this series the intentions of many characters aren’t always as clear as what we’ve see thus far. This includes bystanders, Teachers, and even the Lead/side characters. Nobody is inherently good or bad in this series. Everyone has their own internal battles, intentions, and how they deal with it will make the plot much clearer in episodes to come,

Cafe For All is in P'Golf's BL The Rebound as well. Is it in Wandee Goodday? Can't remember. And re: the Teacher Waree wearing colors thing, my take on it is that she's the illustration that you can bend the rules in small ways if you toe the line ideologically. She's all for punishing Ayan and keeping the school rules. She just likes to look fancy while doing it. Another metaphor, if you will.
