Oh definitely, this would have been one of the rare times that Riley stayed at the hotel. In happier circumstances, Riley might have come along, but the unpleasant company and the possibility of big, unfamiliar dogs wandering around made Hartley decide it was better to take the risk of being unattended for an hour or two and keep Riley safe instead. That aside, I imagine all the tension and loud voices and racing heartbeats during the meal would have made poor Riley very anxious. Instead, she was very happy to see them when they got back!

I was sincerely stressing myself out like a month ago about if the Father still had the Mastiffs and if he does they could be really dangerous to her, service dogs get washed all the time because they get attacked by other dogs- Then the logical part of my brain had to smack me upside the head like "Dude. Stop stressing about interactions between fictional dogs that we don't even have an inkling may meet each other, C H I L L." I may be unreasonably attached to both James and Riley. 😅 (I'm not surprised, honestly, I knew I was screwed since the first audio was posted.)
