hello! it's been almost a whole year since the last time i embarrassed myself by singing for all of you. man, i just listened to that old recording and it is so bad. i think this is much better. still not brilliant, but a lot better. this being the best song ever recorded probably helps a lot.

In my opinion, the vocal quality is more open and full, befitting the quasi-loneliness, void-conversation of the song context. I’m sure Phas would be horrified, but I was actually a little disappointed when I heard the original…the cover had established my expectations. And those expectations were high.

I'm currently sitting in my husband's hospital room while he fights a health issue. I've been strong for weeks. But, this helped me break a dam of sadness I'm feeling.
