Most of my audios are recorded with a monophonic studio mic, and I modify the audio for the making out sounds so they sound like they're coming through both ears. I'm a fan of this effect, and I think others are too, but I do want to get a better quality stereo mic for those kinds of things, too. I couldn't use the mic I used for this for everything, unfortunately - it's not good enough quality!
