been working on the poll bodysuit for the past week or so, think I'm done with the highpoly, maybe I'll make some adjustments before baking, but it's more or less there.
so, I had basically two choices here, go for realism or go the more stylized route. I experimented a day or two with the first and while it looked fine, it wasn't doing it for me so I abandoned it, restarted and went with the second route. I wanted something that would be more comic book like, that would show the anatomical features of the body underneath and be form fitting, rather than have this soft blob on the top.
ended up sculpting by hand the whole suit to get the look I was after. Now, I'm not really the female/male anatomy guru (in fact it's the other way around), it's not something I get to practice much or at all, so some details here are probably wrong or very wrong. Still, it's probably good enough and it looks like what I had in mind, so it will do at this time. The suit itself would probably need more details and wrinkles in some spots, but I'm kinda burned out on it and want to move on.
lowpoly is the last major hurdle for this, will be starting on that today.
