VITO'S BIG UPDATE: Current Projects and Plans

I want to thank all my patrons, new and old, for sticking with me in these crazy times! I know I say it a lot but this year has been tough for revenue, with YouTube demonetizing some of my bigger videos (including my Last Jedi review, which was a major hit). You guys are what keep the lights on, so thank you.

I don't check in nearly as often as I should, so I want to do better about that. As such, here's a rundown of what I'm currently working on in my queue.

[1. Ghostbusters 2016: A Complete Cinematic Failure]

So my big plan was to finish a 'Cinematic Failure' review of Ghostbusters 2016 in time for the release of the new one. This plan failed for a number of reasons.

1. I lost two weeks of editing time managing all the publicity from that stupid Netflix protest (and editing my own video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_vko_6R3kw)

2. I decided to try working with SIX(!) different editors, giving each of them a different chapter of the video to work on. Some turned in stellar work. Some did not fit my style nearly as well as I'd hoped, and I'm re-editing those segments from scratch.

That being said, I'm making headway. Hopefully I can have it out by mid-December.

[2. Other Videos]

I have a few other videos in various stages of completion. One is titled "The Time Iron Man Fought Naked and Lost" and it is a hilarious look at one of my favorite comic book issues. Another is titled "Why In-N-Out French Fries are Scientifically Terrible" and it's a bit of fun food science. I'm hoping some of the new editors I've found will help be whip these into shape.

[3. Superkiller]

Some of you have probably heard me talk about my current creative project, a comic book called SUPERKILLER.

I have to admit, I’ve spent a long time commenting on other people’s media, and I really need to make time to put something out of my own. I’m really excited about this story and I’ve found an awesome artist to work with.

I may need to take a month off from my other work to finish writing the script. If I do this I will suspend Patreon billing for that month so you aren’t forced to be funding my non-video content. I also just kind of need a month off for other personal reasons. I’ve been working nonstop for four years now and really need to make time for some things like seeing a doctor and organizing my filthy apartment.

I think I have like 40 “thank you” videos to knock out. I promise they are on my list, lol. It’s just been hectic over here.
