1. Tom and Jerry or Coyote and Roadrunner?
Tom & Jerry!
2. What’s your favourite ADF song?
Probably Mayday because it's so fun to play live!
3. What’s your favourite general song?
This is honestly one of the most difficult questions you could ask me. It changes on a daily basis, at the moment I'm super vibing Pierce The Veil - Emergency Contact. A bit more chill. But if you asked me next week it would be completely different!
4. What things would you not do on here?
.... The things I don't do on here?
5. What would be your A) Song for the decade B) Song that represented school/college.
Song for the decade: My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay.
Song that represented school/college: A Day To Remember - All Signs Point To Lauderdale
6. Which musician or frontwoman/man most inspired or influenced you in developing your style as an artist?
If I hadn't discovered Hayley Williams I probably wouldn't be in a rock band right now. But I am super influenced by any incredible front person, if I see/hear something I love it inspires me every time. I recently went to see Avatar, I only knew 1 song when I stepped in to the room, but it didn't matter because I've genuinely never been that entertained at a gig EVER. Johannes' voice and stage presence was insane, if you haven't seen/heard them, I highly recommend seeing them live.
7. Paramore, Flyleaf or Avril? You can only choose one!
Hands down Paramore. I LOVE Flyleaf & Avril but I'd be a mess without Paramore in my life.
8. How many tattoos do you have?
Oh gosh, lots now. Hmmm, I think around 19? I'm thinking of doing a lil tattoo post at some point!
9. What's one song or song lyric from a band that has stuck with you and continues to inspire you?
I have lots and lots of favourite lyrics! But one of my faves, it's very simple, is 'so long and goodnight' from My Chemical Romance - Helena. The reason I love it is because for such a long time they ended all of their set's with Helena, meaning the last thing the crowd would here is so long and goodnight, and he didn't do a goodbye, that was it, because the song had done it for him! Also as a side note, when they came back they started ending the set with Black Parade, which meant the set ended with the words 'we'll carry on' which I thought was very sweet.
I love smart things like that, and it's inspired me especially with the names of our songs, and what order they come in on the album. On our first album, it ends with From The Start, so once you've finished I thought it was a cute way of encouraging people to go back to the start. On Happier the album ends with All Of This Is Over, and then goes to One Last Song, I did this to replicate what happens at gigs, you think it's all over and then the band come back out for an encore.
10. Where do you see the music industry headed and what do you think it will be like in 5-10 years?
I personally think that eventually, everyone will realise that record labels are a load of s***. They're simply a glorified bank loan, and a bad one at that. Record labels will always exist because they hold the rights to pretty much every great album thats ever been released, so they're always going to have money coming in. But there is going to be a huge rise of independent musicians, because it's already started, ADF being one of them.
11. What are your thoughts on pineapple on pizza?
I don't like pineapple very much so I've genuinely never tried it. But on the grounds that I don't like pineapple I'm going to go with no. Just no. That is my thought.
Hope you all enjoyed this Q&A - ya better start thinking of your questions for the next one!
Stay awesome,
Bethany
