June 8 Update

You will hear more about the trailers and other details in time, but for now I want to focus on my work on the postgame.

I want this final run around the world to feel meaningful. The trouble with the common open world sections is that some players hate having to run around again (and simply won't), so I don't want to include anything too important outside of the new quests.

Well, this last time, I want it to feel worth it for everyone. Every NPC is getting new dialogue, of course, but there will be lots more than that. Characters move around, some grow up, maps change, there are whole new dialogues, and as I mentioned before there are even a ton of new sex scenes. There's a degree of unavoidable repetition when returning to areas, but I want this to feel worthwhile.

The final battle was the culmination of your plot decisions, the epilogue was a final little adventure for the harem, and the postgame is farewell to the world itself. I want to do it right.

That sounds grand and all... then come the details. I'm spending so much time turning off things that probably won't affect 99% of players, but still need to be handled: for example, if someone starts but doesn't finish a harem quest before the final battle, those events won't make sense if left alone. On the other hand, I'm not disabling everything before the final battle: Death's conversations, Orcent bars, and other interactions are just fine in the postgame. There are also things that can stay, but need to be altered to match the postgame situation.

There will probably be some errors, and I intend to have a long patron-only period for this update in order to keep adding things, but this process is still a heavy lift. I need to get all of it done to an adequate level of quality before I can make the build public, so there's still lots of work to be done.

Actually this would be a fun little easteregg for your characters to go "hey lets try this out since we didn't have time before" for a sex scene or something.

I expect a fully functional, overly complicated, tactically complicated version of Fuckball, with an online leaderboard and integrated multiplayer functions. Or there will be a riot.
