I hope nothing breaks with the achievements. =/ If all goes well, then I can begin launching into deciding the final list and setting them all up. I've held off on this before now to avoid extra work, but hopefully they'll be a nice addition for Steam players.

That's fair. Guess the current method of dealing with him is something of a callback to the start of Simon's journey in Feroholm. Kind of rounds out his story.

2024-12-16 00:25:45 +0000 UTCI’m glad we deal with Antarion, I don’t like him either. Will reserve further judgement until I actually play through the epilogue.

2024-12-15 23:47:56 +0000 UTCThough I hadn't considered that particular idea, I did contemplate giving the player a number of different options for dealing with Antarion. However, in the end I decided to go with a simple one, for the reason Simon stated.

2024-12-15 23:43:28 +0000 UTCRespectfully, I'm only suggesting to make it an option, not something mandatory. And as good as Simon generally is, you can still whore Qum, allow Varia's rape, etc. Allowing for this doesn't strike me as particularly out of line within this game.

2024-12-15 20:59:24 +0000 UTCI recall a quest in Pathfinder Wrath where you could dispose of an abuser of women in a similar fashion. I didn’t like it then and I don’t now. Can we please find a way to discourage people from degrading women without adding to the problem? Changing someone’s gender doesn’t necessarily make them a better person. This just further gives the opportunity to show off misogyny BS.

2024-12-15 20:28:26 +0000 UTCIf you want to collect all the achievements naturally in the game, yes, wait for the next update. The endgame will try to retroactively grant some achievements, but I can't make promises this will 100% work.

2024-12-15 14:58:29 +0000 UTCIf I were to start a new playthrough on Steam, would you recommend waiting for the update that adds all the achievements?

2024-12-15 14:32:09 +0000 UTCI can explain your side (event doesn't account for revival) but I don't see why the wrong dialogue would play when Grubbak is dead.

2024-12-15 01:32:54 +0000 UTCSo, issue with the steam build. I heard someone didn't use the final potion on Grubbak and it said he was dealing with stuff during the epilogue. I did use the final potion on him, and it says he's dead in the epilogue.

2024-12-15 00:57:33 +0000 UTCI have a suggestion for an alternate end to the epilogue, if you're open to it. I don't think it would be big undertaking, and I'll lay out my reasoning for it. When confronting the Fucklord, at some point you come across a guy who is basically Trin's male equivalent and he makes a comment about how the Fucklord was researching gender-changing magic, meaning the concept at least exists within this world. When I saw that, I thought Mestan would be subject to it and made a harem member, but I think I'm more satisfied with how his story played out. Now, Antarion has a reputation for being a sleazy womanizer, and Yarra comments about how she feels he should be punished before Simon's decision. I think it would make narrative sense to be given the option to change Antarion into a woman as a punishment, given some variables are met - such as researching both purity and lust magic, and Trin still being alive, etc. The citizenry wouldn't believe the crazy blonde lady is the famous war hero - he walked off into the sunset after all. Then maybe in the end game we can come across *her* banging some guards or something, idk. Otherwise, I kind of feel like the mention of gender-changing magic was like a Chekhov's gun that never fired, if that makes sense? Its only minor though, as I said above, the game is genuinely incredible.

2024-12-14 14:51:17 +0000 UTCThank you, glad to hear the you appreciated the game so much! I understand not everyone can support on Patreon, but I'm also very grateful for everyone who resonates with what I was trying to do with this game. ^-^

2024-12-14 14:30:00 +0000 UTCI only came across your games recently so I feel bad about not contributing more. This is genuinely one of the best games I've ever played. The weary war veteran character can be hard to flesh out, but you did it so perfectly with Simon - he never felt like just a vehicle for sex scenes, but an actual character. And literally everything has such great depth - the political factions, ethnic and religious relations, investments, the world's underlying magic system, just how far reaching your choices are - literally everything. Apart from all the great banter and fun times, some of my personal highlights were The Anak, Vhala and the Unpeople - and then the "Unsuccubi", and Carina - particularly that scene between Carina and Simon after he discovers Wendis' corpse - there was something really beautiful to that.
