November 12 Update

- Grim8P has produced an "Advanced Combat Mechanics" quiz for TLS! It's pretty hard, I only got 83% right. T-T Try it out if you think you're an expert, or if you just want to learn more about the background mechanics (answers are given in detail after the quiz).
- And of course, you should have seen the newest Mestan fantasy scenario from Annikath and Argo the Ratfolk. ^-^
The mini-update was just about the smoothest cycle ever, so I have been working and I'm pleased to report that I'm making great progress on the next TLS content update. There are fragments of content that I have poked at in half-finished states for much of this year, so I hope I can put them together and come out with a bigger update than people are expecting.
That said, I'm also going to get flattened by the upcoming audiobook release junk next weekend. Two in one month. -_- I hope to get through that, recover, and keep moving forward. We'll see how much I can manage to finish.
What to say about the update? It will include the last investment returns of the entire game, so players will be able to do final optimization in terms of profits. That said, there might need to be tweaks in terms of balancing all the final investments, and at some point I might solicit player feedback on getting this right.
I may also need a beat to correct some things about the endgame. While working, I noticed that I actually screwed up something: there was a little piece meant to be added to Nalili's quest that never got added. Plus potentially other little flaws I might not have found yet. I think we're mostly on course, but I want to get everything right before launching into the final battle.

Simon's elemental damage types: I'm really irritated with myself for this one. Just completely blanked on the fact that Dominate/Corrupt have elements (honestly thought they were elementless until I went and checked). Elemental types provided by Robin: Legit didn't know this one. I made those skills over the period of many years and have never once thought about them as a unit. Miracle I got as many as I did. Altina being involved with poison elemental damage: Trick question got me. I saw the last option and thought "Well, it's not poison ELEMENT but Altina is involved and it could still be considered poison damage." The Nothingness status effect one. Actually Grim8P and I went really pedantic on this one, because while Simon's abilities that cure it will normally be replaced by the "Support X" skill, the game doesn't actually force you to do this upgrade at any point, so hypothetically he could. So there you go. Some elements of the game are locked in my head, but there are pieces that I thought about for five minutes while making them and then never again. =P

I do have to wonder - if Aka somehow got to this point in life, but wasn't a member of Simon's harem, or just didn't pledge herself to him in that way, would Mestan have ever had a chance at shacking up with her? It's tough to word it but I hope what I'm trying to say got through. Also, obligatory: *SOBS*
