June 11 Update

The newest TLS update is out. The good news is that things seem to be stable and I'm on top of all reports. The not so good news is that this is only because this update received very few reactions. Is there something going on this weekend I'm too disconnected to realize? I try to release content when it won't interfere with people's schedules.

I've been slipping this past week, the most obvious lapse being sending out the $10 art update to everyone. I could pretend I did it to thank patrons and spread the rewards around, but honestly it's just because I was frazzled. You're lucky I didn't attempt to upload the newest build by shoving a ham sandwich into my CD tray.

One of the reasons I've been pushing hard is that I intend to take a vacation. By "intend" I mean that I purchased a ticket and made reservations months ago, so the date has been locked in for a while. Getting the current number of updates finished seemed doable, ages ago, but I didn't quite make it. I'm glad I got the current update out for patrons and I guess it just won't go public for a while.

I will be taking a one week vacation, slightly more if you include travel time. This will be the first time I've ever taken a full week off as an adult. I imagine the Europeans are thinking "Seriously?" and the Americans are thinking "Lucky!" The problem is that the amount of work doesn't change and there's no one to cover my shift, so to speak, so for me taking time off just means making more work for myself later. Formally taking a week off will mean a reduction in what I produce this year/month, hopefully more restfully.

Next Sunday an automated post with some new art will go up, in theory. I will return after that, so you'll see me for the next weekly update to confirm I'm alive even though not much will have been done. Public release and future TLS updates after that.
