Well, we're locked in. April 15. Technically I don't have to release on that date, if something went very wrong, but there are no advantages to delaying and it's better to meet your release promises.
I have tons of fanart coming in, enough that I don't want to dump it all at once. This week we have more renders from Runcible Technician: first a recreation of the recent Mithyn scene, then Fiyu from The Weirkey Chronicles. ^-^
Meanwhile, I've wrapped up a few other things. There was another art post for $10 backers and an overdue update to the art pack (now 1.7 GB, over 1000 images). I have been working on potential bugfix release for TLS, but it's dependent on some other factors. Not relevant to most players, but it will be good to squash some persistent problems.
I've also promised some patrons that I'd commission a bit of new pixel art for TLS. I contracted some people... and had them ghost me or refund and drop out. Getting reliable freelancers is such a pain. -_-
On the OEA front, I put out the final bug check. It's also uploaded to Steam, and I've contacted curators, though that always seems like a crapshoot. I've gotten decent boosts on occasion, but most don't seem to drive any traffic. Unlike previous releases, I'm getting a decent number of requests from curators I don't know, so that's hopefully a good sign.*
*Though I'm starting to get so many generic ones that I'm wondering if these aren't scammers who hope I'll email them keys. I've criticized Valve on various occasions, but let me say this: Curator Connect has definitely solved the problem of people spoofing email addresses to scam keys. I did get a review from a 25k curator, so I guess they're not all fake.
That's the last thing I can do before the release announcement, I think. If anybody has been a games journalist in hiding this entire time, let me know. Or if you have curators you follow or anyone else you think might be interested in OEA. Otherwise... see everybody Friday.
